Townies:
I've attempted to explain this to Bustin, but he doesn't believe me. If I were the Joker, here's how this will play out:
You're going to waste today's vote on killing me. Silly, yes - because it's very likely the mafia would kill me tonight anyway. By killing me, you're guaranteeing they kill a townie tonight anyway.
Under this assumption that I am the Joker, you've got five townies/heroes/good guys left before the mafia hit tonight. They know who Superman/Batman is (at least, the three people he could be), so they're going to hit one of the two non-hero roles tonight, dwindling your ranks down to four.
Meanwhile, it's very possible they still have the blue ring - not to mention the one up for sale tonight. If we say that ShyGuy stays dead, they'll be able to use one (or both) of the Blue rings tomorrow to make the vote 4-4 (or 6-4, if they have both), killing another townie. (Or even the Indigo ring that's floating around out there to adjust the vote). Then, they'll make a hit tomorrow night, killing yet another townie. Dwindling your ranks down to two.
And this doesn't take into account them getting the white ring or ShyGuy coming back from the dead. That just increases their chances. That's two more days you'll have to try to vote them out - and two more nights they'll have to place hits.
If I were the Joker, I'm your only chance at killing mafia members at night. And your only chance to kill them with votes during the day.
The Joker is only one person - you only need two people to vote him out. The mafia is three. That requires a vote of four people. How long can your five players remain with a mafia that can now kill every night?
