TalkBack / Re: Marvelous 2D 3DS Game in the Works
« on: March 16, 2011, 01:02:42 PM »
Great news! I was afraid Marvelous had abandoned Nintendo systems after some of their Wii games failed commercially.
i too was afraid of that, good chance this might be a game i must have, i love all the games that type design, and to the same extent, games that they produce. i think they quickly became my favorite third party software team after i started playing muramasa and then arc rise the fantasia

TalkBack / Re: Ocarina of Time 3D to Include Master Quest

This still isn't a deal breaker to me, like many others have said the ability to aim by moving the system won't impress me enough for me to run out and buy them, playing it in 3D would be nice but I've already played through both and figured out the in's and out's of each game to death. The added depth from the hand-held unit would add nothing to the game play since I'd be at home playing it most of the time any way >_>. Now if they added more bonuses the the getting the cow into your house as an adult I'd be psyched but at the moment... It'd be a buy if I could afford it with the unit when I end up buying one... Not a killer app >_>

I think the argument fans have would be the best way for nintendo to show off a good console based online game  would be making a pokemon mmo, and any team could easily make it so you can transfer data from a hand held to the console and vice versa. With the DS generation of pokemon games I have found myself with an issue trading between my pokemon games, personally if there was a way to put them onto the wii and then trade or w/e to a different game i wouldnt have much of an issue owning what is soon to be three games.

an argument for what im saying, and i think many others are feeling/saying is... since the N64/GBC you could transfer data from console to hand held game (i personally loved playing the gbc mario tennis and then playing with my guy on the N64) though that had issues with the N64<>GBC transfer (you need a 40$ controller pack) and a slight issue along the same lines with the GCN <> GBA (30$ link cable), on the other hand with the Wii <> DS, or maybe 3DS (i only heard of the one way transfer for a mii) you connect them wirelessly, and that type of dynamic in a pokemon game could give people a reason to pick up a hand held...

i think this is what broodwars is getting at, on the other hand insanolord does have a point with how nintendo things are designed for the clustered streets of a metropoli like tokyo-to osaka-fu and  kyoto-fu, do the rural areas of japan like okinawa prefecture have broad band yet? id imagine the only limits nintendo has with an mmo is the japanese infrastructure. because in truth, it is a world community in this day and age

sorry for wall of text ^^;;

TalkBack / Re: Access to Provide 3DS Internet Browser
« on: March 01, 2011, 09:22:26 PM »
From my experience with browsing the internet with the wii, there was a lot of room for improvement on how a browser works with a console, in truth i ended up uninstalling internet channel... Though when I can actually get a 3DS I would hope it'd atleast access .mobile sites faster then my Wii did google searches.

I think Nintendo is tinkering with new hard ware in their research department and Miyamoto is busy making touches to this and that on the thing. That would explain the Zelda game having a slow progression on release, other then he has been known to upend the table when it comes to game mechanics multiple times during a game's development stage. Though I doubt they are physically assembling any console yet, I am more then certain that they're in the midsts of talking about what features, what type of I/O devices and other things along the lines of internet interlacing and ways of having the 3DS connect to it. How cost effective it would be for the system and the electric bill to use 3D or HD technology based on the TVs people have. Most likely we won't hear mention of anything new on the console side till the middle of the next market year. Skyward sword still hasn't inspired 3rd party devs yet either so lets see how it goes :)

TalkBack / Re: Pandora's Tower Announced for Wii
« on: January 28, 2011, 06:28:05 PM »
If I recall correctly there was a project that made a translation for Fatal Frame IV. If this game is good enough I think there would be another team trying to made a translation for this one too.

http://www.fatalframe4.net/

If you're interested in the Fatal Frame 4 patch... you need an SD card with about 3 gigs (2 if you have a homebrew channel) and a copy of Fatal Frame 4 (I think the patch gets rid of the NTSC-J encoding for the -U platform though. I do look to see if they're any JP only Nintendo games that have been patched so the rest of the world can read it (Though maybe we'll get lucky with Pandora's Tower and they'll give us an English text setting like they did in games like Super Mario Sunshine.)
