If you ever wanted one of your game ideas to become a reality, now might be the chance.

Renegade Kid and GAMEscribe have joined forces to bring us the pitchWinPLAY contest, a competition where one submitted idea will become a 3DS eShop game.

The contest simply requires that you submit your pitch for a new side-scrolling platformer. Whomever's pitch is chosen in the end will get the chance to see the game come to life on the 3DS eShop, courtesy of developer Renegade Kid. Most recently, Renegade Kid developed Mutant Mudds, which we enjoyed quite a bit. The new game will use Mutant Mudd's engine.

The winner of the competition will receive various prizes as well as the chance to fly out to Austin, Texas to meet the founders of Renegade Kid.

The pitchWinPlay contest officially begins on March 25, and ends on September 1. For official rules check out the pitchWinPlay website. The submissions will be judged by industry professions and have a fee ranging from $20 to $35 with an additional $30 if feedback is desired.

This is pretty cool!

Worth noting that there is an entry fee, and if you want to receive any feedback about your idea there is an additional fee on top of that.  Some people probably think that's not fair... but it's pretty reasonable as a way to limit entries, especially since reading and reviewing these types of submissions takes real effort.

After how awesome Mutant Mudds was, I am really excited to see what they do next. Hopefully the suggestions are good.
