You got ten extra coins for registering the game within four weeks of its launch.

Did not register the game early, Bob. No idea if the bundle gave me more coins. I just registered the number I got in the box. I did recently "pre-register" for Pokemon HeartGold because that's the review game I hope to get (instead of Silver).

Yeah, what Mop_it_up said.  You get:
10 Coins for Post-Play Surveys on Eligible Wii/DS/WiiWare/DSiWare/Virtual Console titles
50 Coins for Eligible Wii Titles
30 Coins for Eligible DS Titles
10 Bonus Coins if you "Intend to Buy" an eligible title.
10 Bonus Coins if you Register a new release within 4 weeks of release.

This means, potentially, you could get 8 coins from a Wii title and 60 coins from a DS title.

Wii Fit Tote Get!

Buy a Wii Fit Plus bundle.  Take the Registration Survey.  When submitted, you'll get a pop-up offering you the free tote.  If you decline, you will lose your chance to get this tote.  If you accept, you're taken to a special rewards page that looks like every other item redeem page, except that it features the tote and costs Zero coins to order.

This is the link to the special order page, though it doesn't do anything when I try to go to it now... https://club.nintendo.com/promo-gift-details/A0.do

It looked like it would be made out of a better material.  It's more of a cheap plastic.

Has a neat little club.Nintendo tag on it though

Meanwhile, the Japanese are getting folding Mario fans.
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

I reached Platinum status for this year. I wonder what we're going to get this time? I guess I'll find out in two months time...

Hopefully it's something truly worth it, like a sountrack CD or something.  I'm just 50 coins shy of getting Platinum, and now that Metroid's been pushed back I'm probably going to get that with WiiWare/VC titles.  It'd be nice to know if it's worth it, though.

Not Super Mario Galaxy 2?

Speaking of, when does the Club Nintendo year officially end? Is it June 1st or June 30th? The reason I ask is, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is released May 23rd, so if the year ends June 30th, if I wanted the coins to count for next year's Platinum status, I'd have to give up the 10-coin bonus for registering within four weeks of launch.

I believe my feelings regarding my interest in Galaxy 2 have been well-documented, but no I'm not interested in it.  I'm kind of interested in Sin & Punishment 2, but I just can't see myself buying that until it drops in price/can be bought for a decent price used.

As for the Club Nintendo year, it ends on June 30th.

Register the game, then click out of the survey.  You still get the early registration bonus whenever you go back and complete the survey.
I have enough stuff in my To-Do list to hit Platinum on Day 1 again this year.  And the next.

I'm sick.

Just ordered my Tote Bag.

Forgot I siting on that registration since I already registered Wii Fit w/ balance board and Wii Fit Plus (stand alone). So now I also have Wii Fit Plus w/ Balance Board registered too.

I am now 100 coins over Platinum status for the year. I gotta do UB's trick to save my SMG2 points for next year.

Huh? What do you mean? Didn't people who registered their launch Wii get points when Club Nintendo started? I don't remember.

Nada.  Ya got nothing.  So, if you paid $250 for your Wii/Wii Sports and $50 for Wii Sports Resort, you get 50 coins.  If you paid $200 for your Wii/Wii Sports/Wii Sports Resort, you get 160 coins.

I am 1 WiiWare game from Platinum. I'm hoping for a SNES-styled Classic Controller (or a CC Pro? Dare I dream?) but expecting a WiiWare game again.

Also, does it have to be a new registration of WiiFit Plus to get the tote bag? I got my mom set up in Club Nintendo when she got the game for Christmas and wouldn't mind having it sent to her...

According to the offer's promotional page (https://club.nintendo.com/wiifitplustote.do), you are only eligible if you register your Wii Fit Plus Bundle (Must be Plus, must be bundle) *after* Jan 15th.  You might try calling customer service and whining.

Well, my gf and I finally found a WiiFit Plus in the wild so we snatched it up. She wanted to get it for me for Valentines Day. LOL. Though now I get to snag the nifty tote.

That pushed me to 200 coins. I have a lot of surveys I need to do to help me push up to the platinum total.

I got an invite for a pre-launch party for Mario Galaxy 2. This was sent to club members that live in New York. It has the date and time, but no place. I'm assuming it's going to be held in the Nintendo Store. I was wondering if anyone else got the invite.

Hahaha I WISH! Unfortunately I don't think I can go to the event. You have to RSVP to get in, I clicked the link and it said that I already RSVP'd, but I didn't get a confirmation. I tried again today and I got a message saying it was full. So unless I get a confirmation email soon I think Club NOA botched my invite. This is what happens when you handle different time zones.

Bonus surveys are popping up.
I have four bonus surveys showing up.
Wii Registrant Thank You Survey (20 Coins)
Mystery Case Files Thank You Survey (10 Coins)
Nintendo DSi XL Thank You Survey (10 Coins)
Bonus Survey (20 Coins)

Something to note, each of these surveys expire on 6/30 of this year (the MCF survey expires on 7/31).

I got a 20 Coin survey for my DS Lite instead of your DSi XL Survey, and a Wii Sports Resort survey instead of a Mystery Case Files one.  The latter's probably because I registered the game a couple weeks back.

Thanks for the heads-up, btw.  PLATINUM STATUS GET!   ;D
