Is this Big Brain game NA only or worldwide?

The video shows Americans playing Japanese players online, so I think it’s safe to say worldwide release.

I heard the Brain Training category of games ran into legal troubles in the U.S. which is why we didn’t get the sequel. Too bad, although the Switch screen isn’t great for drawing and sketching compared to the 3DS.

This is a pretty good game, yeah! I never finished it because it went on way too long like you say. Personally I found the writing deeply grating too, but the core gameplay is very solid. At a price like that I'd recommend it, it was like $25 on Wii U back in the day.

Sadly I paid $25 for it. It came out in the middle of one of those famous Wii U droughts. I liked the gameplay and story mode but hit a wall about halfway through. I just couldn't see how to solve the puzzles without going through move by move and then reversing everything, which just wasn't fun. Maybe I just not smrt enough.

So North America is not getting "Dr Kawashima's Brain Training for Nintendo Switch"?

Is there any chance in heck that this gets a Switch port?

Wow, congrats to everyone, that's a huge pile beaten in one month!
Got nothing to contribute myself, all I wound up doing this month is downloading the WarioWare demo and not playing it.

I remember being interested in this when I heard about it way back on the Wii U, but never pulled the trigger until it hit $1.99 on Switch. Unlike most match-3 puzzlers, this one isn't action-based, with instead having the goal of clearing the play field of all blocks; it's a nice change of pace. The story mode is surprising lengthy, I wonder if too much, though it does introduce a new obstacle or gameplay wrinkle in each world to shake things up and try to keep them fresh. The story itself is simple and mostly nonsensical, but was sometimes worth a laugh just from being incredibly stupid. I noticed that the Wii U version had online play, but the Switch one doesn't; seems like an odd exclusion, but I doubt I would have tried it anyway.
Scored: 8/10

Haha, this is actually a good point... BUT as this is an advent calendar mechanism, Chubby the snowboy, can't leave the path of chronology. He is a victim of the system  :-\

Back when I was making up this list of games, I had thought about Civilization 6 but passed on it since I found out there was a version called CIV 6 Anthology which was the complete package. It had all the DLC that had been released for the game along with the original base version. However, I only saw it listed for PC / Steam. Even with the sales the game and its DLC would get on the eShop, it would still be cheaper to get the Anthology version over all the other parts at their lowest price on sale. Plus, I've always played Civ on a computer and wasn't sure what it would be like having to use a controller instead of mouse and keyboard so I left it off my list.

However, I see that the eShop now does have the Anthology version and it is on sale for half off. A real humdinger of a deal. (This is why you wait to buy games to see if you can get a complete package down the road.) I'm really leaning towards getting it now but just wondering if there are any users out there who have it and what they might think of playing it on a console versus PC. Is there a control method that's more preferable? Do you wish you had got it for the Switch or PC depending on the version you own? Any feedback at all on the game that you'd want to make?

I'm one of those who does not remember or ever heard of this game.

However, after reviewing it, I'd like to make a suggestion for the main character. I've reviewed his travel plans and would recommend the following alternative path:

I think it would help save a lot of time, trouble and expense if he took the shortcut I've proposed.  ;)

Of course trying to beat R-Type 1 has caused me to finally change my sleep cycle to get more sleep at night since anything less then 8 hours and I can't even get halfway through since my reaction time is so dulled.  Hopefully if I can make myself physically healthier, I'll finally beat this game and will be able to beat other harder games a lot quicker as well.

Looks like Pokemon Sleep missed its opportunity and R-Type 1 has taken its place for helping gamers get the sleep they need. Thanks for nothing, Game Freak! Hope you have sweet dreams IN HELL, Pikachu!  >:(
