As I'm sure you're all aware, NASA scored a major success for humanity with the landing of the Curiosity rover on the surface of Mars, two weeks ago.
The agency has launched a strong public relations effort to promote both this project - and the science they perform in general. Among their outreach programs was a Kinect Labs product titled "
Mars Rover Landing," in which people fiddle their bodies about to try to land the billion dollar rover on Mars.
This begs the question: why Kinect? Why not the Wii Remote (or even motion plus?) Is NASA landing future rovers using cameras capturing their body movements, or is it because NASA is just made of XBROS. You could argue Microsoft probably contributed to the development of Mars Rover Landing, but then why not contribute to the effort to bring it to all platforms? If Microsoft loves science so much they should be on top of this!
I...I...I'm out of fake outrage.
