Nintendo Gaming / RE:So Why is Mario in Space?
« on: July 22, 2006, 01:58:36 PM »
I...I'm pretty sure she's in space because she got kidnapped by aliens. That's...the offical plot, as of now. I guess I'm not quite sure what you are looking for. Alternate plot lines? Or what?

Is anyone else bugged by the whole "dressing up in different styles" as much as I am? It seems so un-Rayman, which has previously been so disconnected from referencing the real world (Well, Rayman 2 at least). Everything else looks great; even the 'Rabbids', despite looking like something an amateur animation student would come up with.

...Puh...puh...pre-order? I'll assume that's some far off Best Buy in a foreign land.

In the latest Podcast from IGN.com, Nintendo DS editor Craig Harris was asked about the status of Metroid Dread. He responded saying that the game was too early to show previously [at E3 2005] and that it could be shown this year.

That's from trusty ol' N-Sider.

I just thought I'd post this tid bit, as I didn't see it anywhere else, and it is certainly welcome news. I myself am hoping for a 2-D with 3-D graphics game.

Crap! Are there "regular" bosses in this game? You know, like the MP 1 and 2 bosses.  I don't really want to go through fight after fight and it not be different between each other.  It'll get tired fighting "Dark Samus" multiple times -- heck, I hated that part of Echoes.

The Nintendo Power article mentions "Gaurdians" of the crystals, so I'm assuming there's going to be monster bosses, as well as the bounty-hunter bosses (If they're really bosses at all?). But then again, it might just be refering to the usual evil flora and flauna.

I've finished the game, and must say, I greatly enjoyed it. The different characters and how they interacted were what stood out for me. And of course the gameplay is brilliant. I still clean up foot prints even though it only gives you 2 Happy Points.

Haha, man, best delayed reconfirmation post ever!

And my gut feeling tells me that this isn't coming to the Gamecube ever. I wonder why...

The vampire guy surrounded by bats in Majora's Mask is named Gomess, and is also my favorite. In case anyone was wondering.

If you had the Koopa kids piloting some big machines you could have all forms of bosses...

Yeah, they did that quite well in that Yoshi shooting game, whatever it was called.

And, they had mechs in Luigi's Mansion...? Refresh my memory.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:No more Phoenix Wright?
« on: January 07, 2006, 10:47:58 PM »
I was recently updating my Game Collection at IGN and when I did a search for Pheonix Wright, it brought up a sequel for the DS. Anybody else heard of this? Or is IGN off their rocker?

Man...The cheapest I can find this for on the internet is 100 bucks. I really hope it's not discontinued, but I'm not seeing any evidence that it's not.

I'm stuck on the second Gaurdian...

I can beat the swimming larva easily, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to hurt the adult flying version. Any help?

A 5 is an average in EGM. They explain the rating system at the beginning in every issue. Well, they used too, anyway.

I signed up for Camp Hyrule, but the site won't open for me. Hoom hum.

I'd like to see mr. Tim Burton take a live action Samus on.

I was JUST going to say that. His creepy nightmare-ish style would work really well in the Metroid universe.

Nintendo Gaming / PS2 price cut

Man, this price cut was so pathetic, I am not going to buy a PS2 because of it.

And I was going to, too.

I think we all know that Rare is actually making it. That whole Microsoft thing was a big joke.
