Anyone who is still salty about the Nintendo Direct - I encourage to take a look at the treehouse footage of any the games, even the ones you were unhappy about.

Still think the Direct was a flop, but they go into details on the games in the treehouse, which is making most of them look a lot better than they were presented as in the direct (Looking at you, Animal Crossing games!).

Did we ever get an official statement of where the hell Devil's Third or Rodea were?

For Devil's Third it sounds like it's Nintendo of America being their poopy selves.

I don't know what this is supposed to mean. Are you saying NoA is just stupid? Is this game not coming this year?

Well that seals it. Mario Maker is my game of E3, of the year, and possibly of all time.

Nintendo of America could be either not releasing it here, getting someone else to publish it, or stealth releasing it with little fanfare like many games they've published in the past.

Wait, there was a Smash Bros. Treehouse segment? Come on, Nintendo... You could have shown literally anything else... LIKE FUCKING DEVIL'S THIRD.

If we don't get that game this year, I swear.

A bunch of release dates have been announced. Here's how the the rest of the year looks like:

Super Mario Maker - September 11
Yoshi's Woolly World - October 16
New Super Mario Bros U + Luigi U combo pack - October 16
Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water - October 22  (Digital Only)
Star Fox Zero - November 20
Xenoblade Chronicle X - December 4
Devil's Third - December 11

Third Party
Disney Infinity - August 30
Skylanders - September 20
Just Dance - September 20
LEGO Dimensions - September 27
Guitar Hero Live - October 20
Just Dance - October 20
Shovel Knight Physical - October

Animal Crossing Amiibo Circle Jerk and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash still have "Holiday 2015" release dates. Looking at the calendar on November/December calendar, I'm guessing those games are getting delayed to 2016.

Despite the total lack of 3rd party support Nintendo decided to not talk about Rodea The Sky Soldier (November 10). There is also no mention of Project Treasure, or Project Giant Robot.

Considering where the console is right now that's actually a pretty solid rest of the year for the Wii U. Late N64 era style, where it's relatively few releases, and prett much all the worthwhile ones are from Nintendo, but the ones that are there look really good.

In the Project Treasure trailer it said "Next Information Summer 2015" I think TGS technically is still within summer so we could see it again there.

Mario Tennis is the same day as Star Fox in Europe, it's surprising how little is known about it, I hope there is more to it that just being a hd remake of an N64 game with the only addition being obtrusive mushrooms.
I wonder where Fast Racing Neo fits into the lineup, it's still supposed to be 2015.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water - October 22  (Digital Only)
...

Said it elsewhere, spamming here: going digital only for Fatal Frame sucks, especially since other regions get retail releases and special editions.

Not a huge surprise. The lack of hype or promotion in North America was kind of writing on the wall, but still a huge disappointment.

Fatal Frame being digital-only would make a lot more sense if not for the fact that Devil's Third is getting a physical release.

Or if any other region was going digital only.
It just kind of stands out as it's the only first party digital-only release, and only in this region.  :-[

I'm sure the logistics of distribution on these kinds of things are different in the wider and less population dense area of North America than they are in other regions, so I could see how NoA might want to do it that way when others don't. But Devil's Third seems to have a lot less commercial appeal and it's getting it, which is weird.
