Considering how relatively obscure that Gamecube Batman game was, I'm guessing this game didn't make it onto anyone's game of the year lists.

That rules out Ace Attorney, Touch Detective, ...there are many Tamgotchi games for the DS, right? and Harvest Moon had multiple I think also. (is harvest moon an RPG?) Several Castlevania DS games, Cooking Mama disqualified...

Not for Khush Hey! What about Meteos? does that meet all the criteria?

edit: Nevermind, there was Disney style Meteos sequel on the DS. Ghost Trick is also on iOS so that is out too. edit2 Mister Driller came out in 2004.

I tried the demo, it was nice looking for a DS game. The game play with the touch screen was better than expected.

Not for Khush Should I waste a guess on it? Maybe just guess Koei-Tecmo?

Yeah, I'm not sure how else to narrow it down at this point. Only thing I can think of is to start asking if it's in a certain genre, like ShyGuy suggested. Asking if he owns this game himself, probably wouldn't be very helpful.
