well if i had a chance to catch a flag it would be stratos, dasmos's intentions were'nt totally evil, he hope our team would win.

~STEALS PAP64's paintballs and shoot Pap and captures stratos. I think in future games there should be a screwjob rule, basically like how in contra and ninja turtles if your out of lives you could just steal the other players life, in this game youi could just steal the other players paintballs.

Don't generals get unused paintballs of fallen gunners on their side? Or did I just make that up in my head?

I will.

Here is what is interesting about this game.  Bowser had all the good intel early on in the game.  Maxi actually found a Flag (Khush) and Mario on days 0 and 1 investigations.

So he had some great intel to share with his team...however he didn't know who it was.  ThePerm decided to shut Maxi and Pale taking out both of them, if Pale hadn't lost the vote.

Team Bowser had a great commanding lead, and 2 mistakes cost the game.  1 was a gunner accidentally targeting another Bowser gunner.  The other was not saving GP, which I got intel about her being their flag late to the Team because of my trip to Houston for the Korean Consulate.  However, everyone on that team was out for events anyway.

If GP had been saved, Team Mario could not have won.  The odds were just too stacked against them.

Another interesting decision in this game that played a huge part of the game was my no death for not voting policy and the tie kills both players decision.

I decided early on, that if I allowed people to be wiped out for not voting, if somebody dropped out of the game it would cause a huge balance issue since it was basically two large teams going at it.  I was afraid that if any team figured its members out quickly and gained a large enough lead that it would be impossible to overcome.  So to avoid this issue the no kill policy for inactivity was formed.

As for ties I felt that the underdog should be able to pull a rally and eliminate players with a tie...possibly creating a large come back.  Besides in this game allowing the people to have lived would have just meant making the game longer without real benefit or strategy.

Both my policies had huge impacts on the game development.  I wish that Wario had a change to use his actions, or I had enough players for 2 Wario members.

What did you guys think of the balance of the game?  What worked and what did not?

I thought it was great. The only thing that could have made it better was having more people and more Warios. Though that might have upset the balance. It went back and forth enough to feel like no one team was truly dominating.

I thought the winning conditions were when a team's flags were all "captured"? Team Bowser has a flag left but team Mario is just two gunners. So team Bowser wins.

Good point.  Hmmm...let me check that.  Because if so I agree Team Bowser should win...I got so caught up on having the traditional vote everyone out I forgot about that eliminate of my own game.  It has been a very busy week for me.

"Flags:  Are a special Role on Team Mario and Team Bowser.  The Flags know who each other are and act to a similar way to mafia in traditional games.  The Mario Flags know each other, but can not attack with guns.  They can only be eliminated by either Vote Out, Capture, or Team Wario Attack.  The game is over when all the flags on one team is eliminated.  There will either be 3 to 4 flags per team."

HA.  Wow.  I have to say I was corrected about my own game.

Sorry Team Mario, but by these rules Team Bowser wins, even though you have more players.  Team Bowser still has an active flag.

Thanks, about the story I wanted to keep some elements throughout the game.

1)I wanted Mario to be Cocky and arrogant.  He is used to defeating Bowser and just assumes that he will take any match up against him.

2)Bowser I wanted to true militant king.  Smart, and ready to use army, but at the same time, just can't pull out that win.

3)Wario the "impartial" judge.  Every time a Mario member lost it seemed like Wario was cheating?  But why?  Does he have some unresolved issues with Mario?  I also wanted to incorporate the greed.

4)I wanted a chance to allow role playing and level changes (although it ultimately didn't happen) So I let the location of the previous day be center for the story, and made sure I had some sort of transition to the next location.

5)I tried to be funny, but I realized I was trying to hard, so instead I just wanted to make what I believed where clever references to the Mario universe.

To be honest I would have liked to have played more regular Mafia games before trying this one. Not because I don't think this was an interesting setup, but because I still haven't figured out the basic strategy for this game.

I couldn't figure out a good way to vote in this one. Because the teams are even, you can't really claim you are on the other team because your own team could end up targeting you. I don't think I could explain my votes without revealing too much.

So, yeah, I wouldn't mind trying this game again, but after a couple more regular games. I need more practice (and more losses lolsauce). More players would be nice though.

Its time to explain myself...

The reason I didn't vote today was because I am sick and I was in the hospital all day long. In the evening I was on but didn't check the forums. I then went to bed.

Again sorry if I disappointed anyone, but I was under the weather.
