Word on the 7 Seas is that Namor the Sub-Mariner reverted back to Marvel last year.
that much we heard about previously, but what's new is that it may be filming soon in the waters of Hawaii this year.

There was rumors of a Squirrel Girl leading a Young Avengers type show, and Fiege did say that the Movies and TV would cross over sooner than we think...

Besides, Marvel would love to tie up all the up and coming talent while it' significantly cheaper to to get actors in long term cheap contracts.
And it's always in her favor to get in on the ground floor of the Disney machine, especially if that ground floor is a potentially major and more importantly, re-occurring role in a MCU movie.

Look how quickly that worked in Donald Glovers favor.

Young Lando in Star Wars spinoff, which also then led to
Voice of Simba in The Lion King "live" action movie.

But you make a good point about courting young talent.  I haven't seen Stranger Things, but I could get excited for a Squirrel Girl series with the right actress.

Russo's joked that Anna Kendrick would be good for the role of Squirrel Girl when asked as well.
Not that SG is gonna appear in the movies, but I can't imagine some young actress can just request to get a sneak peek at Infinity War and be granted such a thing, unless they were actively courting, or already signed her to do something involved w/ the movie (or universe).

I'm sure Coulson and Daisy would LOVE to get invited to the set of IW to check out some behind the scenes stuff. Assuming of course they aren't already in the movie in some capacity.

Who knows? Maybe they have and it just wasn't a story that got picked up.  Maybe some Netflix honchos asked for her to get the tour since Netflix has close ties with the Marvel folks.

But what the world needs now is more Squirrel Girl.

Man, this has been a great 10 years of film making. I never used to care about going to the theater to see any film. The last films I made an effort to see in theaters opening night/day were the Star Wars prequel trilogy and Lord of the Rings. I had fallen into a rut of waiting for the streaming release. Marvel films have rekindled my general excitement for going to see films in theaters. We probably go to see at least 1-2 a month now where once a year was my previous average.


Gotta imagine the MCU has been great for the movie industry as a whole with motivation like that.

we just connected. we are on the same network my man.

I used to avoid the theater and wait for the Netflix DVD to show up in the mail. Now all Marvel Studio movies are event movies to me. I'm not just going to go watch it in the theater, I'm most likely hitting it up on preview night, opening night, or if for some reason I just couldn't make it the previous 2 nights, then definitely opening weekend.

And because Marvel got me to go back to the theater, I know check out other big releases that catch my interest, especially Disney/Animated stuff for my daughter.

I am so Hyped for Black Panther, Ragnorok, GotG2, Spider-man, IW1&2, the reveal of Phase 4, the rest of the season of AoS (best season BY FAR), and on a slightly lesser extent (because we know so little), Ant-man2, The Defenders, The Punisher, and to a much lesser extent (for the moment) Iron Fist and Captain Marvel.
The MCU has me totally engrossed, and it's still GROWING, and I still want MORE. I want it more connected, I want more cameo's/crossovers, more characters... just more of all of it, and more often.

I don't know if you guys remember, but I used to do movie review/impressions in batches, usually involving an MCU movie of some sort, as I would only go to the theater when they were released. Now I go much more often... and no longer in batches of movies. The theaters can thank Marvel for that.

and just for the record, I am ready for 4 MCU movies a year.
and I am ready for more MCU "connected" TV shows per year.

I watched the first 3episodes of Legion today. Dan Stevens the actor has Mystique's powers.

Also, Dr. Melanie Bird's voice sounded so familiar. I looked her up. Voice of Kate the cat from Homeward Bound.

Danny Rand seems off in what they've shown of Iron Fist so far. Like the actor needs better martial arts skills and a fitness trainer. Also, I hope they actually show Kun Lun and not Nepal.
