For some reason I threw in HD at the end of my statement, though the tard pack doesn't do HD.

I wonder if he is willing to bet on that. We could start a pool.  Personally I'd put my money on the Wii retailing for $249.99.
I find the lack of sig images annoying. I have this nice image I use as my sig in all my other forums and I can't use it here.  So instead I'll just complain...

$170 seems like a good price.  I just don't think it's likely since it's kind of an odd number.  Usually prices are in $25 intervals so something like $175 or $150 seems more likely.  That's just nit picking though.  EA has probably heard $150 and $200 tossed around and is picking a number in between as a safe guess.

Well Nintendo DS is 129.99, I don't see why the Wii can't be priced similarily.

You're right.  Actually when I write it out as $169.99 it looks more normal to me.

You know the more I think about it, since Wii is trying to distinguish itself perhaps an odd pricing would fit? I dunno perhaps that is a stretch but I can see Nintendo doing something like that lol.

$169.99 is like a price you'd see on a crappy on-sale tv at walmart. Sounds good!

Not to mention, then it would probably be exactly $200 CDN for us.. But I don't think this is true - I see it starting at $230 USD, which hopefully translates to $250 CDN. I was pleasantly surprised that the $600 PS3 price will be only (heh) $660 here..

The exchange rate has just changed is all.  I think it is only about 1.1 CDN for 1 USD.
170 for Wii would be awesome and I can't remember who said it but would fit with Wii uniqueness.

I believe that was me who said that. The system is supposed to break the mold when it comes to next generation game systems, so why can't price represent that.

Personally I anticipated a $179.99 price, but $170 works too!

People would pay for a $199.99 product as quickly as they would for a $170 or $180 item.  So Nintendo will ask $199.99.  That's all I'm going to say on the subject.
