Japanese launch date is confirmed by the game's official site.

 Nintendo's official Japanese site for Metroid: Other M has confirmed a release date of September 2 in the territory, following shortly after its August 31 release in North America.    

The site has also been updated with plenty of new images and information about the game's story, characters, and gameplay.    

A brief rundown:    

 
• The Story section tells the tale of Other M.
 
• The Character section feature's the game's characters.
 
• The Control page shows how players must switch back and forth between holding the Wii Remote like an NES controller or a remote.
 
• The Action area has some great screenshots.
 
• The Stage section details the game's setting.
 

   

There are also some great video clips in the site's movie section.

I wish they would get a move on with the English site, so that I actually could read it.

The Super Metroid intro music in the background is a nice touch, though.
