For those interested,

The Smart Gun Pro V2 by HVG is one of the two best pistol shells on the market. The original Smart Gun Pro has a mold identical to the Nyko Perfect Shot (same supplier?), and the V2 finally adds the proper iron sights. The other top shell is the 2-in-1 Light Gun with the useless Nunchuck cradle. I saw the V2 for the first time last night at Fry's and picked it up for $18. The Nyko was priced $13, but it's now worthless in comparison as it is infinitely inferior.

I was looking at that page yesterday. I admire the effort.

But I see no way to aim that thing. It's like you point your hand and hope it works, in a strange case of Men in Black meets The Transporter.

https://www.cobaltflux.com/xcart/home.php?cat=251 If you check out this picture it shows how it's held so my guess is that it has a mirror to bend the IR light from the sensor bar to the Wii remote IR camera on the scope looking thing. The gun barrel is just for show.

It would be on-screen reticle friendly. Looks like you could pistol-waggle with it effectively, also. Might be worth a try for Umbrella Chronicles.

Ummm no, there's nothing to look through. Holding it fancy like Jason Statham is just a style choice. Click on pic #3.

The point of having a decent shell is so you can ditch an on-screen reticule and aim primarily by eye, assisted by iron sites or a legitimate scope.

I thought the point of that model was simply to hold the Wiimote at a more comfortable angle. The legitimizing of wearing a suit and leather gloves while playing your Wii is secondary.

$40? AWWW HELL NAW, that goes beyond the realm of impulse experimentation purchasing. I don't want to spend that just to add another device to stuff batteries into AND find out that the built-in waggle sensors are crap. The company doesn't even provide the courtesy of multiple picture angles nor details if the Nunchuk can be plugged it.

Go ahead and buy it, you have my non-binding support.

Both my Talismoon sensor bar extension cord and Talismoon retractable sensor bar crapped out within a couple months.

I'll say the gun has a month before its IR camera dies.

Talismoon =/= Penguin. I try to avoid 3rd party stuff, but the stuff I've used from Penguin has always been pretty solid.

This is GORGEOUS.

Tho it probably has the same stiff trigger as their shotgun and the scope doesn't provide any real optics, it's still rad. Probably the best match for Overkill's assault rifle.

It has it's own nunchuck built in.
joystick on the back and the Z and C button on the clip.

No, you supply the Nunchuk, just as with their shotgun. Mechanical extensions allow the shell to place spring-loaded buttons on the magazine.

Oh, well I hope Nintendo goes pass-thru port tech in the Wiimote 2.0.
Would make the peripherals much better to have real buttons that don't have to rely on springs and plastic levers to reach the wiimote.
