There were two new kinds of activities worth mentioning. First, I was given upper body (resistance band) exercises with two distinct parts. I'd do a normal bicep curl, then continue to push upwards into an overhead press. The band was really stretched at that point, but it was the first time I really felt a good burn in my arms from playing Active. The other new thing today was a jumping exercise, which I had to skip due to weak floors and angry neighbors below.
Having watched most of the tutorial videos already, today was the first time I played with my iPod instead of listening to the in-game music and trainer speech. The Listen Up podcast made my regimen go by much faster, and I really enjoyed the workout overall. The final activity (cool down) has previously been track running, one of my least favorite exercises in Active or real life, but today was different. The workout finished with dancing, a goofy Balance Board game similar to Para Para Paradise or the step dancing in Wii Fit.
As expected, I gained back some weight today, due to regular fluctuation as well as yesterday's eating. I chose healthy food, but just had too much of it, including a lot of snacking. (My appetite is already going up with all this physical activity!)
