I did know that but it is still a fun fact. Did you know that the great Dalton appeared in The Lion In Winter also starring Peter O'Toole and Katherine Hepburn? I love this movie. It is an awesome drama of power politics. But it is the awesomeness of Dalton's role as the King of France that pushes it into the position of the greatest movie of the 1960's.

Dalton was offered the Bond role again in the late 70s but turned them down because he didnt' like the direction the movies were taking (weren't serious enough for him, not true to the novels). He was offered the role for both For Your Eyes Only and Octopussy

Dalton is awesome in everything he does. The man is a Shakespearean actor. He's like Patrick Stewart but suaver, smoother, more mysterious. Take The Beautician and the Beast. He owned that movie and made it worth watching. When he's on screen, he's the only person you can watch. Everything around him fades away and you are only able to see the brilliance that is Timothy Dalton.

He's such a good actor he brought to life the Bond that comes straight from Ian Flemmings books, one not many people knew about. This is a Bond that deep down doesn't want to do it anymore and drinks not because he likes a shaken martini, but to kill the pain temporarily.
Oh and his acting doesn't include just lifting an eyebrow (i'm lookin' at you Moore!)

Yup. Couldn't agree more.
I gotta be honest, i'm very rarily attracted to black girls. Its not the features, cuz i love the features, its just I've never liked darker skin tones. That probably sounds fucked up, but its just me being picky (I can't date really pale girls either).
Oh and to me black =/= African/Haitian etc. I don't like dark skinned hispanic girls either.

Well its not klingon thats for damn sure. I've always heard references to it in geek culture but never knew what it was. One day i was bored and, as usual when i'm really REALLY bored, i'll hop on wikipedia and read up on random stuff. At the time The Day the Earth Stood Still (remake) was being released, so i read up on it and the original. Turns out that phrase is from the original movie and supposedly reused (in a different context) in the remake (though i didn't hear it) and is some sort of iconic geek phrase from the films climax.

God i love that show.. its so fucked up for a kids show, man. That might of been one of the places i heard the Klatu... line, but i'm sure there have been countless others.
Anyway, i realized i never answered Stogis question before, where my friend is from:
He is mixed, half Egyptian and i'm a horrible friend for forgetting the other half. His father has skin a little darker than mine, but his mother, himself and all his other brothers/sisters/cousins (that i've met) are all very fair skinned but not in a pale and sickly looking way. Both his sisters are beautiful.

Pretty much. I don't think they really have him on that tight of a leash anymore, it's just programmed into his haed not to disobey his parents. For a long time after high school, he'd still get phone calls every hour from his mom if he was just chillen at my place playing some Smash Bros.... and i could always tell it was his mom cuz it was the only time he'd speak arabic lol. Pretty much. I don't think they really have him on that tight of a leash anymore, it's just programmed into his bed not to disobey his parents. For a long time after high school, he'd still get phone calls every hour from his mom if he was just chillen at my place playing some Smash Bros.... and i could always tell it was his mom cuz it was the only time he'd speak arabic lol. Wow they are strict, & that sounds like the source of a lot of psychological problems... there were a few other things that could have been read wrong in connection with the first error, but I didn't want to go any further down that road than I already have.

2. That kinda sucks..? I don't want to sound like i go around disobeying people left and right but in my family, we just weren't brought up that strictly. I wouldn't get slapped for questioning my parents, but they weren't ever too lenient with me either.
Even as a young teen, if i wanted to go out i could, the only rules were "let me know when you're going out/when you think you're coming back" If i couldn't be back when i thought i'd be, it was a simple matter of calling. If i didn't i'd just have my mother nag nag nag the next day, but she nags about everything so it was never a big deal. I couldn't imagine having her call me every hour.. ****.
