Title: Pap64 meet your servants
Post by: BeautifulShy on April 05, 2009, 10:17:44 PM
So I was just look at the board index and I noticed that Pap64 was on and his name was blue.I went to check the staff list and sure enough he is part of the staff. So I guess I want to congratulate him. Maybe we can turn this into something like Kairon's topic about him becoming staff.

So Pap do you plan on doing a podcast with the staff? Are you going to spend more time or less time on the forums than you do now. Will it be the same time as you do now?

1. It might be hard to do a podcast considering I live all the way here and I don't have any good recording equipment
2. I don't know. It should be easy to write stuff and still check out the site
3. I think it will be the same time
4. I wear boxer briefs. Problem solved for me.
5. Donatello is my turtle!
6. I haven't played any of them

Hmmm why did you want to become staff? Also you didn't answer Brandogg's question.

This would be more like "The Departed" except that everyone already knows he's the mole.
Was that the movie based on that Chinese movie in which both the Mafia and the Police had a mole on each side and they had to guess which one was the mole?
That was a confusing movie.

That's not a problem. Are you comfy enough? Need an extra pillow? How about a drink? I make a pretty good strawberry daiquiri.
Welll...
My feet need rubbing, my two cats need to be spayed, I have a lot of laundry to do, I need someone to do my grocery shopping, I need someone so that my students can beat to death and I need someone to suck on my...
...piña colada.
Are you up to it? If so...
I need a resume with at least 6 months worth of experience and references readily available. Apply under "Pedro's manservant". Be quick, though, I already have 5 people hoping for the job.

Will including a picture of my monkey all snug in a banana hammock give me the winning edge I need to land the job???

You have to be extra nice to me because I'm making a "Who should Pap ban" List.
Uh-oh, I'm in trouble if you are making Pap's 'To Ban' list. I'm probably at the top.
Congrats Pap, are you just a news guy or a reviewer person or what? What is your position?
Was there a 'now hiring' sign up? I'm curious how you got on. Did you ask them or did they need a new person? It was probably your great writing skills in the 10-Year retrospective threads. Your thoughts there were well written.

Well, unfortunately I don't think I meet any of the technical requirements, but that doesn't mean I can't handle it. My hands are perfect for rubbing feet because they are very soft from the moisturizer I use. I can usually follow directions pretty well so I could probably spay your cats if I had an instructional video to follow. When it comes to laundering clothes, I'm very careful, so you don't have to worry about them shrinking or fading or anything. I'm a smart shopper so I could probably save you some money when I do your grocery shopping. Since I'm kind of pudgy, I'd make a pretty good punching bag for your students. I don't know what that last line of yours means, but just so you know I don't do sexual favours.
Who needs experience as a servant? I've got life experience.

And nothing on Benicio del Toro and Raul Julia? :(
I heard of Benicio Del Toro but I'm not familar with his work. Raul Julia I think The Adam's Family was my favorite from him. The Street Fighter movie was funny.

If any of you guys watch MST3K you should hunt down "Overdrawn at the memory bank". Its a really, really bad public television movie that stars Raul Julia, and despite the story sucking he does really well. He's like a rose growing out of manure.

Benicio Del Toro was in Licence to Kill. Sadly, despite having a strong screen prescence, Benicio never seemed able to translate it into a succesful acting career with only small blips here and there. Like winning an Oscar in Traffic. Or so I've been told.

Man, I forgot one very important actor...Luis Guzman.
Dude's in everything! He usually plays "The Puertorican guy" on comedies, but he has made surprising appearances throughout his career.

License to kill was the one where Bond went rogue to kill the guy who murdered his best friend and his wife on their wedding night right? He was a good Bond villain. I love the old Bond movies from the 70's and 80's.

That's right. When I read that, I thought it was good casting. He'll make a perfect Moe. Jim Carrey as Curly sounds right also. But Sean Penn as Larry? What the?

The parents of an ex girlfriend of mine ran a kids talent studio in our crappy town, and my ex (when she was younger) would often meet a few celebs when their clients would be used in tv/movies. She claims to have been in a scene with Luis Guzman way way back in the day. Her little brother was on an episode of SNL with Britney Spears too.
I just noticed Easycure's monkey in a banana hammock.

Eh.... if forever grateful means keeping me protected from the ban hammer, then maybe ;) I'll send it to you when i get around to sending vudu's Pikmin back LOL
And was one of the creepiest looking villains ever because he looked coked out of his mind in it. Then when i realized he looked like that outside of films, i wondered if he was some sort of embodiment of evil or something lol
I don't know about any of you hear, but i'm a fan of Timothy Dalton as Bond. Sure he only had those 2 films as the iconic character but they were really freakin good! Sometimes i wonder what Goldeneye woulda been like if Timothy didn't back out of it cuz of delayed production. Similar to the new Bond, Dalton played the character with more emotion and raw instinct, made him gritty. It was a nice change of pace from all the smooth talkin', cunning bonds before him.

Del Toro made an OK knife-wielding nutcase opposite of Tommy Lee Jones in the film The Hunted.
I luv me some desperate man-on-man knife fights.

Yeah that was kind of odd but Sean Penn is a good enough actor that it could work out. I guess Carrey is going to gain like 40lbs or so for Curly.

You know.. i'll be honest and say that License to Kill is the only Del Toro movie i can think of that i'm sure i saw. I remember seeing a trailer for one he was in, it was about him keeping a promise to his friend that if anything should happen to him, he (Del Toro) wouldtake care of his family. It looked like it'd be a good serious movie, but i don't remember it ever hitting theaters so after that one trailer, i forgot all about it until now.
Funny thing is, any time Del Toro comes up in conversation i always have the same reaction " oh yeah.. him.. yeah he's a pretty good actor. Whats he doin lately?" lol
Oh and pap, how about you make me your sidekick mod so we can rule these forums with a iron Puerto Rican/Ecuadorian fists?

Well he was a chubby dude and looked like a mess in that movie. He was the chief of police's son or something, killed by Clive Owen's character.
He was wormy kid in License To Kill, but he was in top shape for The Hunted. I recommend Hunted for its technical fight sequences; predates The Bourne Identity.

I said the same thing in the Quantum of Solace thread. Allow me to quote myself, which also, coincidentally, is my favorite person to quote.
The thing that surprised me was how much I enjoyed Timothy Dalton's portrayal of Bond. He reminded me a bit of Daniel Craig's portrayal at times. I wish he'd had the chance to have made a couple more films.
The biggest problem with Dalton's movies were the endings. The endings always seemed to sabotage the movie.
ratio of action over non-action meant Bond didn't talk a lot, reminding me of the product-of-the-80s stunt-heavy action-man Timothy Dalton Bond movies.
I made the earlier Dalton reference =]

:'( Why me?
I use a very complex formula, it would be impossible to describe.
Well I think I would get it.Tell me.
Maxi, I'm sorry. It is probably a guilt by association thing since you and I are in this weird synchronized state. GP has been plotting my removal for a while and our association has made you a target. I had hopped to procure Pap's favor to avoid a conflict but seeing as GP has already gotten his ear we may not have much longer to live. It was nice knowing you all.

I was just kidding around, Maxi. You don't have to keep an Earthbound avatar if you don't want to.
Then again, EarthBond does have a certain ring to it. He likes his martinis rockin', not stirred.
