The exhibition Splatfests have wrapped ahead of Splatoon 2's release, and coming with the new game is a new scoring system. Popularity, solo battles and team battles are compared, with the winner of two of the three claiming the victory.

I ate some ice cream today, as it was also National Ice Cream Day in the US according to major brands that support such a thing.

Ice cream is just better. I haven't even played Splatoon so I've no bias from the game but I've long said to other people before this event that ice cream is probably the one dessert I could eat constantly after every meal. Pies, cakes, brownies, cookies might be a fun thing eat as a treat here or there but they can lack consistency based on who makes them or the flavor whereas it is pretty rare to encounter cases of bad ice cream. I'm also not a big fan of icing. I hate when things are too sweet or super-sugary which is a reason I'm not a fan of cupcakes since they seem to exist for the purpose of being a vessel to serve large amounts of icing to people. Ice cream usually doesn't have that problem. So, yeah, ice cream all the way.

My internet situation (extremely strict NAT and blocked off ports) doesn't allow me to play online games, so i didn't even hoped i will get to play in Splatfest.

However it kinda sorta worked 1 time out of 4 tries and i played a few matches. Weirdly enough most of my matches were Team Cake vs Team Cake...

I think because of my network limitation i was able to connect only when i was first into a lobby and the rest of players were connecting to me. This also lead to some players on enemy team not being able to connect to me -- which was fine by me because this led to easy victories. Though i do realize in retrospect that i probably made the Spaltfest experience shitty for a lot of people.

I've never agreed more with a Kushrenada post.

But, back to the real point, hooray for ice cream! The greatest unifying force to come along since 90's Simpsons episodes allowed us to speak to one another in quotes from the show.

That Team Cake sure did suck last night. They just plain sucked. I've seen teams suck before, but they were the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked.
