Discord is only a couple years old, but seemed to immediately take over for voice and text chat in the videogame and Youtube community. It is kinda a more streamlined version of Roger Wilco.

I learned about Discord maybe a year and a half ago on another forum and it is pretty wonderful. I don't use it much for voice chat but all the different channels that can be made are great.

Discord is an awful name though. It sounds like no one will be able to connect with anyone there. Like there will be problems using the site (disconnected.) Like it's going to be anger and arguing and a lack of harmony.
Just a terrible name.

Funny thing... for the longest time I thought Discord was a MLP themed chat client or something.

Yeah I actually heard about Discord on a MLP FIM forum so I thought it was a different kind of chat room they had there. But yeah it is a pretty nice game and YT voice and chat client.

I joined Discord. It's not as good as IRC, but that's where all the cool kids are hanging out.

But why do we need Discord? We already have a chatroom for this site. That's where I'll be for E3. It was the best thing about the January Switch presentation.

Ain't that the truth. The worst thing is when a website forces you to change your password. I haven't had a problem with any of my accounts being attacked or passwords compromised. Leave my passwords alone.
