Hey everyone! Alex returns with Donald tonight at 8 pm Eastern for the latest live Nintendo News Report. On tap tonight: NX rumors, Level 5 tries to conquer Japan, Nintendo's financial results and the delay of Pokémon Go+.
We'll see you tonight!
If the rumors of the NX being less powerful than the PS4 are true, then I will be majorly disappointing. The NX is supposed to be part of the next gen (meaning AFTER PS4 and X1). It would have been like if the GameCube had been less powerful than the PS1. Even being just as powerful as PS4 would be bad, it needs to be more powerful than the PS4 Neo and X1 Scorpio.

From Eurogamer's latest article today:Still finding this hard to believe, in order for TegraX chip Nvidia had to win a Semiconductor contract, which they have none. So I doubt the console will be nvidia based let alone the handheld.
"Once again, Nintendo has chosen the road less travelled. Assuming it's based on the Tegra X1 processor, NX will be considerably more powerful than Wii U, but it won't match PlayStation 4 or Xbox One for grunt, even as those machines are set to be superseded by more powerful hardware refreshes. (There's a chance it will get the Tegra X2 instead, about which little is known - but that's pure speculation on our part, and it wouldn't fit Nintendo's usual preference for mature, cheap parts.) "

Yeah, AMD reported their 2nd quarter 2016 earns a week ago and the CEO Lisa Su talked about semi-custom design wins, three actually. The only one she actually mentioned by name was Xbox Scorpio. I figure one of the remaining two is for PlayStation NEO and the third has to be for Nintendo. She said they'd talk about the third semi custom win when they have "more visibility". - Nvidia however hasn't reported earnings for Q2 yet.
