Title: Sega Bringing XBLA/PSN Games to Wii U eShop

Get ready for games such as Hell Yeah! to likely come to Wii U.

Sega is poised to announce several downloadable titles for the Wii U eShop soon, according to a tweet from NotEnoughShaders.com's Emily Rogers.

"Sega is excited about Wii U's digital distribution. Multiple XBLA/PSN games coming to Wii U. Sega will give official announcement soon," Rogers said.

Some of the titles coming from Sega in the coming months on XBLA and PSN are Arkedo's Hell Yeah!, Jet Set Radio, NiGHTS into dreams..., and Double Fine's The Cave. If Rogers is correct, then several or all of those titles will come to Wii U.

At PAX East 2012, we talked with members of Sega and Arkedo regarding Hell Yeah!'s chances of hitting Wii U. They didn't confirm anything, but they seemed open to the possibility.

Another game coming to XBLA/PSN in autumn is Sonic Adventure 2 HD.

There's also a bunch of XBLA/PSN games that Wii never got like Sonic CD, Sonic Adventure 1, Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2,  Virtua Fighter 5, Space channel 5, Crazy Taxi, etc.  It would be cool to see some of those on Wii U's eshop.

Re SA2: Weird. Sega's website doesn't mention Sonic Adventure 2 under XBLA/PSN.

I don't know if I can hold off for Hell Yeah!, though. What I played at PAX East made me stupidly excited for it.

This is good news. Maybe we'll get a Panzer Dragoon Orta release that takes advantage of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk in a manner similar to Sin & Punishment: Star Successor!

Yeah it's strange Sonic Adventure 2 isn't mentioned on Sega's site.

This is good news. Now all we need is all the other companies to put their stuff on the service. I look forward to the Wii U.
