Title: Professor Layton's London Life Not Included in European Version of Next Game

Nintendo of America finally earns some good will.

Professor Layton and the Spectre's Call ('the Last Specter' in North America) will not include Professor Layton's London Life, the Brownie Brown-developed RPG that was a lengthy post-game bonus in the 2009 Japan release.

Yesterday, Nintendo of America confirmed that London Life would be unlocked from the start in the North American release of the game.

The next chapter in the Professor Layton series is set for an October 17 release in North America, and a November release in Europe.

So will Europe not get it at all, or will it be released in some other form?

Just checking ... did NoA still have good will when it was assumed the RPG would hit Europe too? Or is good will only earned when someone else misses out?

In my eyes (and I wrote the article and the good will remark), NoA deserved some props for including it, much like NoE deserves props for releasing the OpRainfall Three. You could just as easily make your comment about NoE with the OpRainfall Three.

I guess they don't have the resources to localize it for all the languages?

Right, right.  All I'm trying to show is that maybe gamers shouldn't reserve good will for times of crisis.  It's absolutely not isolated to this article, so I do apologize for singling your comment out to make my point.

I find London Life to be an odd bonus anyway, given that it seems rather different from the normal game. Is it related to Professor Layton in some way?

Don't know, but this is what Wikipedia says about it:

Professor Layton's London Life (レイトン教授のロンドンライフ) is a 100 hour RPG developed by Brownie Brown. The game features many of the Professor Layton Series characters, from all four games released as of 2009, and three downloadable characters from Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva. The game allows the player to create his/her own avatar that they can have live in London. Specific Londoners will ask them to do certain tasks, unlocking more places in London to visit. The game has been described to have graphics very similar to Mother 3, and it has been said that London Life is a sneak peek for a new Level-5 game, Fantasy Life launching in Japan during 2011. Level-5 announced that the US localization will include London Life, and as a bonus will, as opposed to the Japanese version, be available before the completion of the main game.
