The smart thing to do is to create and establish an alt character right now. Makeup whatever name you want to call the funhouse, pretend that you have a new roommate, build up a post count to avoid suspicion then nominate your alt character in one month and an hour.

I think Pale gets a bum rap just because he's a moderator. A lot of people have a problem with authority.
That's exactly the opposite issue, most of the time. Pale can do whatever business he has to do, moderating posts, and whatnot. Who cares about that? The real problem comes from things like funhouse names, terrible avatars, bad mafia skills, website self-promotion, and things in that vein. It's really sad. Pale's a great moderator, as long as he keeps to just moderating our posts, but whenever he does something beyond that, I cringe in intestinal pain.
Edit: Finally, he does something respectable, the Business Moogle. I'll hand that one to him.

As I said to you in a PM, the reason your consequence was so heavy is because you broke the rules TWICE in like 24 hours, and both times you obviously KNEW you were breaking the rules because you did silly things like spoiler tags and what not.
I'm sorry, but when someone knowingly breaks the rules, that's grounds for harsh punishment.
As for the damn animation thread, I didn't hand out any official warnings to anyone because of the mod involvement. And, obviously, that has nothing to do with your infractions.

While I still think Pale is a failure, I believe that mostly for points and elaP related reasons, and not this particular set of actions.
BNM, you broke the rules. Clearly. And it was obvious you knew you were breaking the rules in both cases, and someone warned you in the first case, outside of moderatorship, but you still pressed it. The warnings were fair.
As in the second case, it likely works like this: Mods can't be warned. Cannot. The system doesn't support that. So it was either warn everyone but the mods that were involved in what they posted, or warn no one involved. It was a separate incident, and he still closed the thread, too, so it's not like he left his stinkin' paws out of there, either.
Also, who marches with a tuba? Where's the euphonium girl?

If this was to be fair, a joke pic saying "pics or it didn't happen" is not grounds for a locked thread or administrative punishment. THIS IS THE FUNHOUSE. If you have lost your sense of humor, then you should probably take a break from the funhouse as this was the section of the forums set up for us to go have some fun, bend a few of the rules and just generally not be so damn serious.
Its a thread of NON DISCUSSION centered around a theme that should not be discussed. Who doesn't see the humor in that? There was 0 (zero) discussion of religion or politics in that thread, but there were many funny pics surrounding the issue that could have been posted without any sort of discussion every breaking loose. I assume most of the people in here know how to have a little fun and how to joke around, otherwise they wouldn't be frequenting the FUNhouse anyway (see Ian).

It's not a stab at your religion or anyone elses. It wasn't posted to drum up conversation. When I saw that thread I didn't see anything wrong. Why? Because another forum poster started a thread earlier about a POLITICIAN and was not warned. If we can have a discussion about a POLITICIAN which is against forum rules, why are we not allowed a NON-DISCUSSION thread (in the funhouse no less) about another topic that goes against forum policies?
User A creates thread about illegal drugs: Users B, C etc post: User A gets warned, thread locked.

You did not post You’s Funhouse, he posted Khushrenada’s Kingdom Funhouse. A different name.

No, these rules are in place because I like imposing ridiculous ideas on the populous to see how they react. =P It's like a social experiment.
My reasoning for the ______'s ______ funhouse rule isn't just because I like being a prick though. Because the regulars always refer to this forum as the funhouse, I want to make sure that newbies can at least deduce what is being referred to.
Newbies can still deduce. Named for a regular by an account that has posted in the funhouse before. That was another requirement Pale listed somewhere.
1.) Thread must not be bumped until atleast 1 month (down to the second) or later of the last post in the thread. 2.) A valid suggestion must be made with the initial bump, otherwise see rule #1 3.) If you are to name the Funhouse after a forum member, they must be an active member of the community (preferably someone that actually post in the Funhouse) 4.) You cannot suggest your own name in the name change

Interestingly, BlackNMild2k1 asked if these rules were acceptable. Pale has never answered in the affirmative that they are. Therefore, they can probably be discarded but for arguments sake, let’s look at them. Again, as shown by my earlier answers, all these requirements are met.
BlackNMild2k1 also mentioned that dupe accounts can not make name changes. Never once has Pale or anyone mentioned that rule before.
Finally, I have been accused of owning/creating the You account. That is not true. I thought I had this conversation with Pale but it turns out it was with Bloodworth. Even better. I have the greatest mod on my side. Here it is:
Now I ask you, why would I bring to the attention of a mod a dupe account that I created, asking him who created it? The answer? I wouldn't. In fact, what makes this conversation so interesting is that what precedes and follows it are a discussion on some dupe accounts I did make that were banned. If the court wants to see my evidence on that I am more than willing to provide it.
Further this conversation is from February 2007. 2007! This dupe account was created a long time ago and not by me. As much as I'd like to say I created it back then, tested it against mods to make sure they couldn't trace it back to me and then waited until I could use it to claim a forum name for myself in a game not even created until 2 years later is preposterous.
All criteria is met. I demand a name change.

Khushrenada if you look in this topic on page 7 a Dupe by The Perm posted a new name form the funhouse. The name of the funhouse didn't change to what ever the Dupes name was and it stayed BlackNMilds Political Funhouse.

There's many reasons why it didn't change. First of all, a month hadn't even past by yet so it was doomed to fail. Second, the name suggested was the account's own name. Xertimitrex used his own username for the suggestion which can not be done. Here we see that You clearly posted after the correct amount of time had passed and did not use his own account/user name but that of another account/username for his suggestion. VALID!

In this case, Kingdom is an adjective. Sometimes words that are usually nouns can function as adjectives.

In this case, Kingdom helps modify Funhouse giving more information about it.

Here's a quick grade 4 English test that you can do to practice learning what is a noun and what is an adjective.
I always find it ironic when people arguing about grammar misspell it.

You are arguing about spelling which has nothing to do with the current argument on the validity of the name change. If you think that a misspelled word invalidates the above argument, you are mistaken since it has no bearing on anything and is merely a distracting tactic to the important issues at hand. If it bugs you so much, I'm more than willing to accommodate you and change it. Then you won't have to get hung up on such a minor detail that is irrelevant.

In this case, we see that the word "beach" describes the word "towel." There's a potential pitfall here because "beach" can also be a verb, and we might momentarily think that a "beach towel" was a towel used in the activity of beaching. Fortunately the rest of the sentence provides more context. Note that the speaker mentions sitting on the towel. At this point, one might recall sitting on a towel oneself and realize the meaning immediately, but if not, one might at least realize that beaching something is not an activity that would be done while sitting on a towel, and so turn to the noun form of "beach" instead.
In each example, it was possible to figure out what the word being used as an adjective meant from context. Now let's examine the proposed name for the Funhouse: Khushrenada's Kingdom Funhouse. Can we determine the meaning here, thus validating the use of the word "kingdom" as an adjective? In my opinion, we cannot. It seems far more likely to me that the word "kingdom" was chosen because it alliterates with Khushrenada's name, forming a catchy sounding name for the funhouse. In other words, "Khushrenada's Kingdom" is formed as a title that describes the Funhouse. This is an example of an adjectival compound, and it is valid grammar, but it does not conform to the rules for the name of the Funhouse.
I am sorry if that seems like a niggling technicality, but I believe careful study of the rules as laid down by Pale reveals that overcoming niggling technicalities is largely the point of this game of renaming the Funhouse.

It is actually quiet simple. When You(the user name, not you Mop_it_up) posted the name change everybody was talking in the naming topic. A little while ago some mod broke up the posts from the naming topic starting with You to make this new topic. I personally feel that the first page of Nintendo Console is becoming to crowded. I mean there is 2 topics about what games should come to the VC. Yes, but almost no one posts in there anymore. We already have at least one games you want on VC topic but it died eons ago. But when Kytim98 created a new thread suddenly all sorts of people came out of the woodwork and posted their missing gems. Sure, it's a redundant topic, but after the drama we've seen in some other recent topics (http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/forums/index.php?topic=30478.0) it's nice to have a bit of fluff every once in a while.

^I already have several times. He a internet newb, I had to give him step by step instructions on uploading and then posting a pic. I also tried to change the look of the "How To" thread to make it a little easier to read. Now I need to add more content now that the tags have been fixed and I can edit it freely again.
But I think everyone put on kid gloves to welcome the new poster, because every topic he's posted has been talked about before and we all just joined in instead of bumping the old threads. Doesn't hurt that there have been rumors or activity prompting the revival of those same topics though. But we've all been trying hard to be welcoming since most new posters disappear after the 1st few post.
As soon as Maxi takes him under his wing and shows him the ropes (are you really gonna do that?), then he should be all right. But I think you're right vudu, after all the "Wall of ___" threads I think people just wanted to talk about something lighter and less serious.
