Title: New Mythical Pokemon Zarude Revealed

It probably shouldn't use Sandstorm.

The first mythical Pokémon has been revealed for Sword and Shield.

In observance of the anniversary of Pokémon's launch, a trailer was shown for a new Pokémon named Zarude. A Dark/Grass type, it has the ability Leaf Guard (immunity to status in sun) and is shown using Taunt in the trailer along with a move similar to Rillaboom's Drum Beating.

A distribution method for Zarude has not been revealed.

The typing was kind of a surprise.  I wonder if Shiftry is doing ok.

Technically Shiftrey is a a Grass/Dark type while this new one is Dark/Grass. /nerd.

I am almost certain that Cacturne is also considered Grass/Dark because Cacnea is pure grass and the thing with Dual type pokemon is that the first type listed is considered their primary type while the second one is considered their secondary type so usually when a Pokemon gains a second type when they evolve it becomes their secondary typing.


Edit: Confirmed, I am right.

This is the only gen 8 mythical (so far) and I find it offensive that it isn't absolutely adorable.
