Multiplayer Details Announced For Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch

There's a lot of people roaming these islands.

The Australian product page for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has revealed new details about the game's multiplayer capabilities.

Islands in New Horizons will allow for eight different residents at once, with four players able to play on the same system simultaneously. Local wireless and online play will allow eight players to play.

Whatever Switches are on shelves as of the end of December, they may not be there for long.

New Overwatch Patch To Introduce Changes To Competitive Mode Switch

The character suspensions will only last for a week, unless one of the heroes supports Hong Kong.

The next Overwatch patch will introduce some new features for the competitive game.

In a development video posted today, Blizzard outlined a new option called the "Experimental Card". It will be used to test major balance changes and open the testing up to console players. Based on observation, changes made in the Experimental Card may or may not come to other modes later.

Nintendo of America has announced a new Switch to celebrate Animal Crossing: New Horizon's release.

The system will retail for US$299.99/C$399.99 and launch on March 13. It will feature a light-colored dock with a Nook family design, as well as special light blue Joy-Cons. The game will not be included.

Some of us will have a Spacer's Choice to make.

Obsidian's newest RPG will be hitting Switch in just over a month.

The Outer Worlds has been confirmed for a March 6 release date on Switch, following its October release on PlayStation 4/PC/Xbox One. The game will have a MSRP of $59.99.

Although it will be available at retail, the box will contain just a download code. The file size for the Switch version has not been disclosed.

At the close of the Japanese business day earlier today, Nintendo released their financial results for the third fiscal quarter of the 2019-20 fiscal year. This is Nintendo's holiday quarter, with the biggest events of the quarter being the launches of Luigi's Mansion 3 and Pokémon Sword & Shield.

Vikings and detached limbs makes for an intriguing adventure.

The developers behind a 2018 indie surprise on Switch are returning early in 2020 with a new adventure.

Perfectly Paranormal, who developed Manual Samuel, will return with Helheim Hassle soon. Similar to Manual Samuel, and taking place on the same day, players will control the pacifist viking Bjørn who is trying to avoid spending eternity in Valhalla, and teaming up with a mysterious figure named Pesto to try and live eternally in Helheim.

A new adventure in the world of The Witcher has just released on Switch.

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is an adventure game set in the Witcher 3 world that also includes a card-based battling system. It is now available on Switch for US$19.99 or equivalent.

Although originally developed by CD Projekt, the Switch port was handled by Crunching Koalas.

In addition to the long, LONG awaited Kentucky Route Zero there's Not Tonight (the Brexit simulator launching on the best possible day) and Aviary Attorney which is... exactly what it says on the tin.

Samurai Shodown's Second Season Pass To Be Available Day Of Release Switch

There's already a first one.

There will be two rounds of DLC available for Samurai Shodown, with the second coming on the date of the game's release.

The first pack, already available for pre-purchase, costs US$19.99 and contains four characters: Basara (from III), Kazuki (IV), Wan-Fu (all games), and Rimururu (II). The second pack, available on the game's February 25 launch day, will include Mina (V, available in February), Sogetsu (IV), and Iroha (VI).

Double Fine's newest Switch release will be a co-op focused adventure game from some heavy hitters of the industry.

Knights and Bikes is now available for preload on the eShop, with a release / unlock date of February 6. Set on a mysterious island, players and their pet goose have to try and escape armed only with childhood toys.

Psikyo Shooting Stars Alpha, a compilation of four shooters from Japan, is the headliner from NIS America, while Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath and retro brawler 198X (actually an 8-4 joint) are the big ones in the download sphere.

Greetings, Professor! There's... quite a lot to report.

In a big day for Fire Emblem: Three Houses, we have a date for the end of its expansion pass.

Following the reveal of Byleth for Smash Ultimate, Nintendo Netherlands released a trailer for "Cindered Shadows", the fourth part of the Three Houses Expansion Pass and quoted a release date of February 13. Nintendo of America followed with confirmation of the date being the 12th in North America.

Fighters Pass 1 may be complete, but now we have a second pass.

During the Smash presentation, the second fighter's pass for Super Smash Bros Ultimate was announced. It will contain six fighters, with the pass expected to be complete by December 31, 2021.

The Fighters Pass will wrap up with a righteous schooling.

Byleth has been announced as the final character in the first Super Smash Bros Ultimate Fighter's Pass. Originally from 2019 NWR Game of the Year Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Byleth will use multiple different types of weapons with the different directional buttons (lance, axe, and bow in addition to sword).

Yes, the date *is* intentional.

The post-Brexit adventure game Not Tonight will arrive on the most appropriate day.

No More Robots's dystopian adventure game Not Tonight will release on Switch on the 31st of January, as first reported on Nintendo's game list and confirmed by the developer. The US price will be $24.99, while the UK can grab it for £19.49 and the rest of Europe €22.49.

A cold depressing game for a cold depressing season.

The next Raw Fury game is a bleak adventure, and it's a short time out.

The newest title from Krillbite Studio (Among the Sleep), Mosaic, will come out from Raw Fury on January 23. It can be preloaded now on the eShop for US$19.99 or equivalent.

Set in a dark world, Mosaic tells a tale of the drudgery of corporate culture and how a person's life can change after one event.


Final Smash Ultimate Fighters Pass Fighter To Be Unveiled Thursday Switch

The mystery of the sixth DLC fighter for Smash will be solved shortly.

A presentation will air Thursday (January 16) at 9 a.m. ET / 6 a.m. PT / 1500 CET to announce the final fighter in the first wave of DLC. The presentation will be 35 minutes long, similar to the length of the presentation for Terry Bogard.
