Smash Bros. Dojo Updates Wii

Things came in pairs this week at the dojo.

The announcements over at the Dojo this week have been a bit strange. Two game modes were described in some detail, two final smashes were revealed, and an Animal Crossing themed assist trophy was revealed to round out the week.

Hayter Voicing Snake in SSBB Wii

The same actor responsible for Snake's lines in the MGS games will be reprising his role in Nintendo's all-star brawler.

David Hayter, the voice of Solid Snake and Big Boss from the Metal Gear Solid series, will be lending his voice to Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

This revelation did not come to us via the Smash Bros. Dojo, but instead was confirmed through David Hayter's personal website. The actor and writer lists SSBB as one of the games he has worked on as the voice of Snake in the "Metal Gear/Solid Snake" section of his site.

Square Enix Looking to Expand Proportion of Overseas Sales

Square Enix are looking to expand their global sales and increase overseas revenue from the current 50% of the total to 75% within the next three to five years.

A Financial Times article from last week announced Square Enix's intention to find US and European partner publishers in order to boost overseas sales. Nintendo Second Largest Japanese Company

Wii-Sponsored Car Takes Second Place

It looks like the only place Wii takes second is on a NASCAR track.

As NASCAR fans already know, Greg Biffle and his No. 16 Wii-sponsored Ford Fusion raced to a solid second-place finish Sunday at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware.

Finishing just behind Carl Edwards, the win moved Biffle up to fifteenth place in the overall Nextel Cup standings. More importantly, he made Wii owners and Nintendo fans proud.

Wii Sports Sequel Not Coming Any Time Soon Wii

This and more revealed in an interesting conversation between Nintendo's president and Earthbound's developer.

Earlier this year, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata and famous Japanese essayist/game designer Shigesato Itoi sat down for dinner. Grasshopper Manufacture's stylish Wii game is finally on its way stateside.

Speaking to IGN on Wednesday, Ubisoft revealed that it would be localizing Grasshopper Manufacture's No More Heroes on Wii. Saying that, "Ubisoft is excited to be bringing Suda 51's latest adventure to gamers in North America," VP of Publishing Jay Cohen assured fans that the United States would be able to play the game in February.
