Nintendo buys back shares in Japan to appease investors.
On Friday, Nintendo Company Ltd. (NCL) announced that it will buy back $43 billion yen's worth ($391 million USD, 1 USD=110.051 JPY) of its shares in an effort to boost its stock price and appease investors.
The buyback amounts to 3.6 million shares bought at the Friday closing price of 11,920 yen. The actual transaction took place Monday morning before trading began on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

If E3-era documentation is to be believed, the port may not be an ace up Nintendo’s sleeve.
Last week Cube-Europe’s handheld team posted some interesting pictures of the E3 Nintendo DS without its case. After rampant speculation over the recent official word of a still-undiscussed port on the system, the European site dug into its secret documentation, supported by slides of the E3 presentation, to convincingly show that the port is designed for an external microphone.

Nintendo of America has provided their new TV commercial for Pikmin 2 for you to download. The ad will be airing on national television up to and beyond the game's August 30th release date, but we know you crazed Nintendo fans love to download these videos to watch them over and over.
The thirty second ad is titled "Hot Dog" and was produced by Leo Burnett USA, the firm responsible for Nintendo's other recent "Who Are You?" commercials.

Someone has leaked pictures of the E3 model, sans the casing. Pictures confirm that GBA SP power adapters are DS-friendly.
