Pre-order = Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Ura Zelda! Find out everything that's on the disc...

Gamers lined up today at selected retailers for the special Zelda preorder promotion deal in Japan.

Upon paying around 6800 yen ($60 US) for the preorder, gamers received an instruction booklet with the game disc of The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time attached in the inside cover.

The man responsible for Metal Gear Solid 2 is incorporating an interesting feature with a GBA cart ...

Hideo Kojima, the lead man on the Metal Gear Solid 2 project is working on a new game for Game Boy Advance, simply titled "My Sun".

In what has to be one of the most novel ideas for a game, the cartridge contains a small light sensor, which in conjunction with the game software, can alter parameters based on the amount of light in the room.

Nintendo Announces Financials

Due to the high yen and lack of demand for consoles, Nintendo’s profits fall from last year.

Nintendo revealed it’s financials today, which were lower due to high yen, and weak demand for consoles.

Nintendo’s profits fell 44.8%, and they lost 29 billion yen ($236.4 million) in losses on foreign currency assets.

Operating profit shrank 45.5% due to the GameCube price cut in the US and Japan, Senior Managing Director Yoshihiro Mori announced in a news conference.

Sega Profitable: May Cancel Sports Games

UPDATED: Sega returns to profitability, but may halt development of sports games for GameCube.

Sega earned $8.3 million (1.01 billion yen) in the six months through September in contrast to a loss of 20.87 billion yen in the first half a year ago.

Sales totaled $777 million (95.1 billion yen), down nearly 3 percent from 97.8 billion yen a year ago. Sales dropped 36 percent overseas, although sales in Japan edged up 6 percent.
