Factor 5 corrects our story about the number of missions and secret missions in Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron 2. Well, we were on the right track at least...
Julian Eggebrecht sent us an e-mail today letting us know that what we were told yesterday by a Team Nintendo representative was incorrect. We apologize to Factor 5, the readers, and the people trapped in the missions that we didn't know about. We will not forget you.

Who wants extra goodies?
According to Nintendo's GameCube promotional mini-CD (being handed out at Cube Clubs around the country), EA Big's SSX Tricky for GameCube will include exclusive characters and tracks over other versions.
Tricky is noticeably absent from the Cube Clubs themselves, but this is certainly great news for snowboarding fans wanting to tweak indies on their GameCube.

Short and sweet, because I'm about to head back to Atlanta for more! Update: Pikmin version confirmed. Also note that Eternal Darkness will not be on display during the "family friendly" hours.

Hot off the heals of announcing how many levels and secret levels are available, PGC reveals an infamous character you'll be able to play as.
DARTH VADER is a playable character. You heard it here first my friends. This feature was alluded to in the LucasArts/Factor 5 official chat several weeks ago, but we can now confirm it for sure. No details yet, but he is probably part of a secret bonus mission (which would be unlocked via medals). Never under estimate the power of the Dark Side. Word.

Jonathan just left me a message on the voice mail letting me know of all that was going on at the Atlanta Cube Club. Spongebob Squarepants is quite possibly the most popular animated show in the USA. It’s also going to be a GBA game, yada yada yada… But what’s all the fuss about?
Several months ago, THQ announced several Nickelodeon licensed GBA games, such as Rugrats, Rocket Power and one other: Spongebob Squarepants. I had never heard of the show and in reporting the story, made some goofy remark about not being interested in playing any game involving a sponge in “squarepants.”

Yeah, she ate too many babies. Special thanks to VideoGameAdvantage.com for signing on board to advertise! So what kind of stuff do they have to offer?
We here are particular about who we allow to advertise on Planet GameCube. Sure, we could have been running ads for Mod Chips, or Porn Sites, but not that’s not really ethical. Seriously though, I've spoken with the owner of VideoGameAdvantage.com and I think his services are a very good deal.... Read more...

Although Sony’s Playstation 2 recently received a price drop in Japan in Europe, it won’t be happening this year in North America. Find out why.
Sony has just announced that this coming Friday, the Playstation 2 will receive a price cut in Europe. In Japan, the console received a price drop last June.
