Shiggy Talks to CNBC

by Billy Berghammer - 11:07 am EST
Source: Tendo Box

In a quick interview with CNBC, Shigeru says a few words about first/second party titles, the GBA-GC connection, and more!

Reporter: What are your plans for the GBA and GC connection?

Miyamoto: Our plan is to use it in a unique way. In the past, players had to look at the same screen, which give the best players the advantage. Now there is none of that with the GBA and GC connection. This allows a type of strategy and gameplay that no one has seen before. We at Nintendo and hopefully everybody else can take advantage of this.

As you read this, I have just arrived home for the holidays, as has the rest of the staff of Planet GameCube. Our company Holiday party was a complete success. By connecting the GBA (with a specific game pak) to the Internet, Japanese GBA owners will submit answers to televised trivia questions for an scored evaluation. No further details about the system's versatility or trivia content have been commented on, but if done right the software could prove to be quite popular.

by Jonathan Metts - 11:10 am EST

The industry's voluntary ratings organization has inadvertantly confirmed Line Drive Baseball from Sega...and it's coming to GameCube.

A sharp eye at SwirlVision has discovered a listing for Sega's Line Drive Baseball at the ESRB website. The listing can be found here.

The information in this listing is literally all we know of the game, because Sega has yet to officially announce the game or mention it at all. However, it's worth nothing that Line Drive Baseball isn't listed for any other systems at the ESRB site...just GameCube.
