Picross 3D: Round 2 Rating Spotted In Germany 3DS

Sequel hype intensifies.

The German ratings authority USK has spilled the beans on a Picross 3D 2 localization.

First spotted by Nintendo Everything, the USK assigned "Picross 3D: Round 2" a rating following a petition on 18 November of last year.

The sequel to one of NWR's most beloved DS titles launched in Japan last October. No equivalent rating from the ESRB has emerged yet.

Wii U owners looking for some inexpensive indie titles are in for a treat soon.

A group of indie developers have come together for the 2016 "Nindies Love You" sale, which will begin with this week's eShop updates and run for two weeks. The titles in the sale are all 50% off.

Kanto Classic Pokemon Tournament Announced 3DS

The participation reward has issues dealing with ice, fairies, and all-terrain vehicles.

After twenty years, a longstanding ingame hacked Pokémon will be legal.

The Pokémon Global Link has announced the Kanto Classic wi-fi battling tournament for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Registration for the event opens on February 25 at midnight UTC and runs through March 3, and only Pokémon 1 through 149 are allowed to participate with no hold items. The battles will take place the weekend of March 5.

A high-def version of the shining beacon of DSiWare.

The greatest - and most expensive - DSiWare title is about to get some extra definition.

In the most recent update to the Kickstarter for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, WayForward announced that Shantae: Risky's Revenge Director's Cut has been submitted to both Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe, meaning a release could follow quickly provided the game passes lotcheck.

The biggest Nintendo store gets a major Nintendo anniversary

Pokémon will be having anniversary celebrations at Toys 'R Us, GameStop and Nintendo's flagship store.

The relaunching Nintendo NY store will be hosting a special Pokémon anniversary event on February 27th, with "fun activities planned for attendees" and celebration of the franchise.

The Pokémon Company is promising more details on the celebrations in the days ahead.

The shortest of months kicks off for North America with a light round of new releases. The big releases for the Wii U are the intriguing 3D platformer FreezeME, which has a good launch discount and features an attempt to save the dogs of the world from an evil fat cat. If you prefer your adventures aquatic, check out Shütshimi, which crosses steroids (allegedly), fish and bullet hell with WarioWare. (It makes sense in context.)

Timing tied to Miitomo registration

Already live in Japan, the Nintendo Account will come west in two weeks.

Nintendo of America, Europe and Australia confirmed in separate statements today that the Nintendo Account will open with Miitomo registration on the 17th. As previously promised, existing Nintendo Network IDs, emails or social networking accounts (Twitter, Facebook) to create the account.

Miitomo Dated, Other Mobile Details Announced Mobi

Registration to get on the train begins soon.

You'll be able to get hyped for Miitomo in a couple of weeks, but the app will be waiting a month.

During tonight's shareholder briefing, Nintendo confirmed that pre-registration for Miitomo is expected to open February 17, with a full rollout for both iOS and Android in mid-March. The application will launch in eight languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch and Russian.

UPDATED: WB has confirmed Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens for a June 28 release. As of 9:15 am Eastern, Amazon Prime members received 40% off the preorders for Wii U and 3DS, but the offer was pulled about an hour later. Original story follows.

Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition Launching In North America Thursday WiiU

"What're you buyin'? What're you sellin'?"

Following its European release in October, Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition will be shooting up North American Virtual Console this week.

The 2007 re-release includes all of the content from the 2005 PlayStation 2 port of the most infamous member of the Capcom 5, in addition to supporting pointer controls for aiming. The game will launch at standard Wii download pricing: $19.99 US, $24.99 Canadian.
