Hoping to see one good stability GIF and one request for folders in the comments.

The Switch system software has updated, and it's more than just stability.

Version 8.0 is available now in the eShop, along with a Joy-Con update. The list of features added includes:

  • The ability to sort "All Software" by publisher, time played, last played, or title
  • A new transfer ability for saves to move from one Switch to another (the source system will lose access)
  • Zooming on games/UI elements can now be enabled and accessed by double-tapping the Home button
  • The auto-wake up when removing from the dock or when the AC adapter is removed can be disabled
  • 3D Visuals for VR can be disabled in Parental Controls (also a function of the Labo Toy-Con VR kit)

New character icons from Splatoon 2 and Yoshi's Crafted World were added as well.

*Software, but not firmware.

I just want them to open up character icons way more than they have now. I want icons for every Smash character.

Please Nintendo,  I just want folders. I know it’s OCD but I want to put games I’ve beaten in one, party games in another, etc

I like tags better than folders.

Why are saves transfer-only and don't allow for copying?  Is the DLC included in your game save?  If the save is just what levels you've completed what difference does it make if you copy it?

They have to announce all the Smash characters first.

Save editing was a big thing on the 3DS and Nintendo seems to be really keen to keep that from happening on switch at all costs.

It will still happen, so I kinda wish they would spend those resources giving us better features instead of trying to stop the inevitable.

It's their way of preventing save-scumming.

"The auto-wake up when removing from the dock or when the AC adapter is removed can be disabled"
