Time to get one last airing of grievances in before Festivus.

As we first reported yesterday, Super Mario Galaxy is the main - in fact, the only new game this week for North America. The actual best Nintendo console game of the 2000s brings grand adventure, tricky platforming and the best princess in the Nintendo lineup, so be sure to pick it up.

With nothing else to pick up in terms of new games this week, you may want to swing down to a local Nintendo Zone sometime next week for the National StreetPass Holiday. There's even a new puzzle to snag some pieces from. Or maybe you'd like to check out some sales, and Curve Digital, Yacht Club and Capcom are bringing them in spades.

In Europe, aside from another round of previously announced sales, there's a few new releases. The headliners are the VC titles; Super Mario RPG and an oddity in Super Mario 64 DS. Why would you play a DS port when the N64 game is right there, especially with no multiplayer support? Well, it does let you live the dream of playing as Yoshi or Luigi, and having an analog pad beats using that thumbstrap that came with the DS Phat any day. Also, Japanese Rail Sim: Journey to Kyoto finally hits Europe... and they're basically giving it away for a couple of weeks.

On behalf of everyone here at Nintendo World Report, happy holidays and we'll see you after the Feats of Strength.

Not if you live in North America.  ;)

Europeans can enjoy their ugly, mediocre game that's been far surpassed by all the later Mario RPGs while I play one of the greatest platformers of all time.

Tha's ok, I can already not play Super Mario Galaxy as I already have the physical version. I am eager to not play Super Mario RPG on Wii U though, instead of not playing it on Wii mode.
