MotionPlus for some, Lego for everyone!

Lego's Play and Build Wii Remote is a brightly coloured model with slight changes to the button configuration to allow for your choice of lego pieces on the front face and battery cover, now covered with the green Lego base for this purpose.

Included in the box is the Remote, a wrist strap, two battery covers, 31 mini Lego tiles, and the ever-useful Lego Tile Separator.

The Lego Wii Remote, developed by Power A, is exclusive to Toys "R" Us and will be available from 16 October for $39.99.

What does the headline mean? Do some models of this Lego controller include MotionPlus?

I'm guessing the "Official" applies to "Lego" but not "Wii Remote."  The buttons look like Nyko's Wand, but the D-Pad and speaker holes are more like Nintendo's.  Who's actually making this?

If you click on one of the images, you can see that it says "Wii Motion Plus" on it, but I can't make out what is stated above it.  It might say "compatible with", which would mean you'd still have to plug the stupid Wii Motion Plus cube into the bottom.

MotionPlus is compatible, not integrated.  Power A is making it; I remember them showing me a Lego-based DS case at E3 when they were demoing their mini-Remote.

It looks uncomfortable.

I would have eaten this up as a kid.

At least it looks a lot more comfortable than this Lego Nintendo 64 controller that some moron made:

You're the reason that Legos have a "choking hazard" warning.

When I was younger my father told me that he wanted to see some change in me...so I swallowed a few dimes and pennies. You can imagine the kind of childhood I had ;)

The Z button (little yellow brick):

The back port is covered so controller accessories can't be used. Maybe it's for the better, as I'm sure a Rumble Pak would destroy the thing.
