The sharks behind the Madden series will try their luck at making a golf game.
Electronic Arts has revealed that Florida-based EA Tiburon, better known as the guys behind the Madden football series, has taken over development duties of the Tiger Woods golf series from EA's offices in Northern California.
Speaking to the Orlando Sentinel, EA Tiburon general manager Steven Chiang said that because "Florida is a hotbed of golf ... it makes sense for us to have the franchise here." He also mentioned that the man himself, Tiger Woods, has a home in Florida. Isn't it nice how everything works out?
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, then, will be the final non-Tiburon Tiger golf game out there. Naturally, we'll see Woods back on the cover of his game later this year for the 2008 edition, which has yet to be officially announced.
