Xander and James Jones possibly bring some controversy when discussing the Zelda series.

It's been a long time, but lets try and get this show back on the road. This is an older recording, however, there are some plans afoot for a bigger return, so stay tuned.

But, in the mean time, take a listen to Xander and James's chat about what they like and dislike about the Zelda series. The two are separated by an age gap, so they both bring different perspectives on Zelda.

The issue with blocking the entire progression like entrance to the dungeon not appearing until you do some random completely untelegraphed thing is what by far the most stupid, idiotic, playthrough killing part of the series for me.

Each and every single game i attempted i stopped playing for months due to some inane progression blocking hurdle.

OOT -- numerous dungeons blocked behind BS, MM, WW -- all chockful of unintiuitive progression "puzzles" that you just have to "know". I also stopped playing LTTP completely because i have no idea where to go next and have no desire to look up.

To date, only the first LOZ and BOTW had the least bullshit like that.

Winners don't hate and W101 rocks

Speaking of Zelda strategy guides, I still have the guide my brother printed out on the 6th of January 1999

I would be interested to know exactly where it came from, last time I checked, its not one of guides on Gamefaqs

edit- after a bit of searching, that URL is the Utah State University. I searched the title of the guide in Google and found one result and it is the guide

The 3DS had GBA games as part of the ambassador program.
