Is it coming today or tomorrow?

It's supposed to be released today. Most stores (besides some on the West Coast, that might have it tonight), won't begin receiving it until tomorrow or Wednesday.

The release date is typically the "shipping" date and the game actually comes out the next day, even if you preordered it online to have it shipped to you.

I expect I'll have it tomorrow, and I finished Castlevania just in time, too.

I saw it here in store on Saturday, for some odd reason.. I'm excited about the game, with all the time it's had to be improved, the positive reviews and the awesome-sounding WiFi features. I plan on getting it soon.

I woke up at 8 a.m just so I could take a shower,  eat breakfast go to Gamestop and pick up my copy of Metroid Prime: Hunters. Just to be told it will be here tomorrow. Lovely. So not to waste a day I picked up Mario and Luigi. I think this was nintendo's plan, lure me into the store with the goal of buying Metroid, not having it be there, but before I asked a worker where the game was I browsed through the current collection, saw Mario and Luigi and said hey maybe i'll get that another day. I guess that day was today.

Heh. I didn't even know it was coming out so soon. I'll pick it up tommorrow along with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PC version, of course. I need mods).

IceCold: whereabouts do you live that you saw MP:H in stores? I live in Oregon, so I'm really hoping my proximity to Nintendo HQ will allow for both MP:H and Tetris to be in my hands TONIGHT. If anyone spots a store with either of these games, please post! A user on DS Fanboy got Tetris at his Target, so I'm going there right now.

I live in Beaveton Oregon, and I just got Hunters from the local Best Buy.  They had both Tetris and Hunters, but I only had money on me for one.  I'll keep refreshing, and give impressions of anything anybody wants.  Crazy cool box.  Holographic, just like Prime 2's box.

You lost your key?

As one of "the man's" faithful employed, your phone is probably bugged.

Lift the handset and whisper, "I've lost my livelihood." into the receiver and hang up.

Within 48 hours, a post office key will appear under your doormat.

Go to your local post office and place the key on the desk in front of the clerk. He will hand you a slip of paper with a number on it.

Add the number to the last three digits of the year of your birth. The resulting number will be the box you need to open.

The key is actually a skeleton key for every mailbox at the post office, but your pay will be in the one labeled with the sum of the number on the paper and the last three digits of your birth year.

The post office box will change every week. Place the key in front of the clerk when you want your pay and he will give you a new slip of paper with a different number on it.

Seriously, how can you forget this stuff? I'll bet you don't even remember our secret handshake...

Technology always takes longest to reach the east coast.

I got the game.  Played 10 minutes of sp and played a mp match.

Quickie impressions.

The multi plays like quake on the pc.  The touchscreen just captures that pc (faster pace) feel.  My first match with a couple others played very smoothly.  YOu got powerups of various kinds laying around and the map I played had jump boosters that shoot you up into the air like in Quake.

So far the sp game seems  abit more straightforward than the Metroid Primes.  But the first 10 minutes are a tutorial in disguise.

The scanning seems a bit of a pain the arse.  You have to touch a button on the bottom of the touchscreen with the stylus and hold it for a second or two to bring up the scanner and then hold the left trigger to scan the object.  It's not the most comfortable thing to do upon first play.

Anyway I guess you know what to expect in the beginning if you played the Hunters demo and have played the Metroid Primes.

My only complaint so far is a complaint that's really a complaint about the DS itself.  IT's not really powerful enough to do clear 3d graphics and the tiny screen doesn't help matters.  It's hard to make out the enemy and your surroundings unless you're right up next to said bad guy or object.  So less power hurts it in this type of game.  This is also a game that I think the brightness of the upcoming DS lite would help alot.  I had to go into a dark room for ultimate playability.

Tangent #1:  It's interesting to contrast this with the Revolution since it too promises to offer smoother and more precise first person controls, but at the same time will skimp on the power compared to competitors.  That's the similarity.  The difference tho is the Gamecube is well beyond the make a 3d game look pretty good dept and the Revolution will be a few multiples more powerful.  The DS is in that barely enough (power) to make a 3d game dept.

Sorry for the late reply; I don't think it'll do any good now. For the record, though, I live in Canada (Alberta). I was in a rush (hence me not buying it), but as I passed by I saw some boxes stacked up.
