O_O sweet!

edit:some part are 404 but heres the faq

" Why do I have to enter a Friend Code for every game?

A unique Friend Code is generated for each Nintendo DS Wi-Fi compatible game. This is done so that when you are looking to play online with friends, the Friend Code can look for those friends that are online and playing the same game as you are. "

Well, after looking at it more, it seems to be quite an involved process to link your wifi id to your my Nintendo account.

You have to first put the ID into the web site.  The web site then gives you a temporary handle...  You have to enter that temporary handle into your ds and then get online...  Then apparently you are verified and you can switch your handle back to normal or something.

I guess it makes sense, using this temporary handle as a sort of password.  It's just not a very elegant solution.  =P

Frankly, it just displays whatever you put as the DS name on that scoreboard.  I doubt that's really Miyamoto ;-)

Oh right, so it could be some journalist messing about then.

DeadlyD: Not Mario, his name is actually there in Japanese.

That was announced to be the case a long time ago.... -___-  You will also be able to add friends via your My Nintendo profile.

I have been able to browse the site quite a bit tonight at different times.  I am very impressed as to how expansive the site is for games, info about the service, and setting up various router models with the service.

So hows the game TYP??

The website is awesome, awesome, awesome.

Oh, I found this interesting:
"One of the great features of the Nintendo DS is Pictochat, which allows players to chat using the local wireless mode of the system. At this time, Pictochat is not a feature of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Keep checking Nintendowifi.com for news of any future uses of the Pictochat feature."

“...there are those who would...say, '...If I could just not have to work everyday...that would be the most wonderful life in the world.' They don't know life. Because what makes life mean something is purpose.  The battle. The struggle.  Even if you don't win it.” - Richard M. Nixon

Hmm.  When asked, Reggie commented that "he would liove" an online pictochat, I believe.

Oh yea, the game is pretty sweet, even if the online mode doesn't include everything.  It's a shame my router is utter crap and a few of the people online tend to turn off their system when they are doing poorly.

Man, I thought this would be a good news day for me, but it's not. First, my normal wireless router (a Netgear WGTsomething or other) is listed as having compatibility problems. Then they say the USB adaptor thing is only for Windows (and all I have is a Mac here at college). Bah. What's a guy like me supposed to do to get my online fix?

Well, it has compatibility problems...as I have the same router, I am hoping that it will work some of the time...

Or, i.e., that the connection problem is only in getting connected, and not staying connected.

I guess that would be the thing to hope for. I really don't want to have to buy another router or to have to cart an old XP machine up here to play with.
