Welcome to Safe Words VI!

The theme this time is Legend of Zelda as stated before and there is a new twist to this game of Safe Words. Players can now choose multiple words at once at the risk of self-implosion, but the possible payoff of imploding someone else early by limiting their words.

The gimmick rules this time around:
There will be a start of 20 words (double the amount of players). Each time a player is eliminated, the bomb word is eliminated from play as usual. If a player chooses multiple words and one happens to be the bomb word, then the bomb word is still the only one eliminated. When the player count comes down to 2 players, then we are disabling multiple words and the player who chooses the bomb word also chooses the other safe word. If a a whole round goes by with no explosion, then the player who choose the bomb word will pick a word. Inevitably, he will likely pick a safe word, but it will lower the word count. He cannot however choose multiple words (because he could choose every safe word and blow the next guy up).

(I know I probably made that sound more confusing then it actually is)

Aw nuts. I just realized we probably won't see Lucariofan until Sunday evening EST time as he usually takes his Australian weekend off from these forums. However, it may also be a long weekend there too. That could put him in danger of the inactivity death which would then give Insanolord control of the board. It's looking like it could be a painful long wait for Lucariofan99.

Great minds think alike. As soon as I read the theme I made the choice to go with Deku and make the Scrub joke. I had hoped to pull a similar stunt like I did with the Tatanga/Topanga job a game or two ago and see if I could go a few rounds with the same selection, adding a new verse to the song each time (and maybe a good gif if time permitted).

Now my hopes and dreams are as dead as the Deku butler's son...

Let's see. There are 12 words left and 7 players besides me. If I were to correctly choose 5 safe words now, I'd ensure that I move on to the next round and that I don't have to choose again. Of course, if I only choose 1 word and other players choose one word, I'll still have a 1 in 4 shot of staying alive if it comes around to me again. Normally I'd do a write-up about the final four but to be honest, I don't pay that much attention to games I'm not hosting so I don't know how well the players have been doing in the past. Plus, I didn't expect to host this game either so wasn't paying close attention. And I'm on vacation so I've only got my phone and looking everything up is a bit of a pain. It was a hard enough struggle just to figure out how I could get picture links to post them so learning that ability is good enough for me at this point.

Not quite sure what all Lucariofan99 is talking about but with regards to destiny, I commented earlier that I felt you were destined to win this game, like it is your fate. I'm not talking about Destiny the game but destiny in the literal sense. You know, like, "Luke, it is your destiny."

Proving me to be right, despite his reading comprehension failures, Lucariofan99 has somehow made it to the final 3. And with his choice of Dodongo, he has made it to the Final 2!!! Lucariofan99 has a chance to win this game!!! Who will be his opponent?

Soren makes the next choice. It's a 50/50 shot. If he guesses correctly, Mop it up is forced to take her own bomb word and Soren chooses the final bomb word. If Soren is incorrect, Mop it up makes it to the final 2 but Lucariofan99 chooses the final bomb word. It all depends on what Soren picks.

Stabbed in the heart after doing such a good job. I had seen a better picture with a large crystal impaling Ghirahim but can I find it today? Oh no! Hours of fruitless searching so this is the best I can find to show Triforce Hermit's casting me aside. You know how that makes me feel?

I actually chose to flip a 3DS game card and not a coin. And it was a best-three-of-five dealie. It yielded the same result three times in a row (label-side up), so this is obviously the choice I am fated to make. And you can't mess with destiny.

Link inserted the master key and stepped into the chamber of the dungeon's boss. There he was confronted by Dodongo!

A fierce chase began with Link running around a fiery lava pit and Dodongo chasing after him blowing flames to try and destroy Link. Link tried all manner of weapons but none had an effect on Dodongo. In desperation, he grabbed a bomb plant growing in the area and tossed it at the great beast.

Dodongo felt something in its mouth. It tasted it for a moment before spitting it out. Dodongo hates bombs. This is unfortunate since Dodongo's chamber is filled with bomb plants. The explosion from the bomb Dodongo spit out ended up setting off all the other bomb plants in the chamber creating a massive chain reaction explosion destroying everything in the chamber including Link and Dodongo.

Thus ended Mop it up's time in Hyrule and fulfilled the hero is defeated timeline.

Of course, none of that matters as Khushrenada fulfilled the third timeline. The hero is defeated and comes back as host thereby giving him wins for all 6 Safe Words games played so far and 1000 extra points. Best of all, he gets to hold on to his hosting powers as he will be the person handling Safe Words 7: The Safening! Will he still be talking in third person by then? Stay tuned to find out.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the players who were able to join in and participate this round. (Even Insanolord

). Thanks also to Triforce Hermit for taking on the task of hosting. Even though I helped at the end, he still handled the majority of it. Thanks also to oohhboy for offering a prize. I am going to leave it up to Triforce Hermit to handle those details. And for anyone else who may watch these games but don't participate, I hope you were entertained and want to see more. With my last bomb choice, I actually came very close to having it be Dodongo, but then decided against it at the last moment. I guess I shouldn't second-guess myself, who knows what might have happened...
