This struck as I was enjoying a box of Mike and Ike's. Nobody's favorite candy flavors are the any of the artifical citrus flavor. Everybody likes cherry the best, grape and strawberry too. Maybe something exotic like pineapple. But the candy companies still keep packing their boxes with orange, lemon and lime.

If somebody held up a handful of lollipops to you and said pick one, I doubt you would be choosing orange, lemon or lime!

(Note, I'm not talking about REAL fruit flavor, I'm talking the artificial fruit candy flavors we grew up with)

I hate cherry flavored anything (though I like cherries). Cherry flavored cola sucks, cherry suckers are terrible, I don't like cherry flavored candy in general. Grape is OK, sometimes strawberry. I like lime flavored and orange.

When it comes to lollipops, my favorite though is sour apple.

Orange and lime are my favorite flavors of candy. I can't stand artificial grape anything, though I love real grapes. Cherry's good, but rarely my first choice.

Banana Runts. They're the absolute best. If someone doesn't like Banana Runts, then they're someone you shouldn't trust.

You know what I like? The chewy fruit lemonheads. They have tropical duos, red ones, and berry. I haven't tried berry yet.

If we're talking starburst, then I agree. If we're talking pretty much anything else, then you got it wrong. Lemon poppyseed muffins, Orange sherbert, Key-lime pie......all fantastic.

Those are actually among my least favorite artificial flavors. Cherry and grape are particularly disgusting. In contrast, citrus flavors seem to be a lot easier to reproduce. Regardless, it's best to just stick with things made from real fruit.

No idea. I don't enjoy vanilla ice cream either. Best flavor for both is mint chocolate.

So I bought a bag of Starburst Jellybeans at Walmart and they are FANTASTIC. I forgot how good they are.

Also, I did some looking into it and I am vindicated!
Lifesavers does a roll with just one flavor. Guess what flavor it is. Lemon? NO. Orange? NO. Lime? NO NO NO

Hey cherry's a good flavor. If we're talking starburst, it's my third favorite right after Strawberry and orange.

But it's also the flavor that fluctuates the most. A cherry from say...Lifesavers doesn't taste like a cherry blow-pop, starburst, twizzler, kool aid or icicles. In contrast, orange lifesavers taste like an orange starburst, tootsie-pop, orange sour patch kids and sherbet.

After making Esters in a lab, I can't stand Banana flavored anything expect for the real thing. I am not fond of Cherry. Lime/lemon is easily my favourite and hard to get wrong since it's just Vitamin C. Orange varied as they sometimes **** it up and taste like medicine.

Grape isn't objectionable, but has a tendency to change the texture of bubblegum making it less blowable.

Esters. It is a functional group in organic chemistry. It's part of what gives food that strong fruity smell among other things. Don't get it on yourself or anybody if your making the stuff as it can take a while to get it out making the person or object reek of that one smell. It's smell in a bottle.
