Well, in my opinion whereas the SW2001 Link looked like a girl, the Twilight Princess Link is the least androgenous he's every been (cyrano de bergerac nose in some rendeitions notwithstanding), and also the most ethnic Japanese he's ever looked.

Pretty much. The other day I was outside and almost died from a sudden gust of fart blowing leaves everywhere. I don't have any Link hentai.

I think the Twighlight Princess version of link is at least the second-most androgynous, though I agree the Spaceworld version is the other main contender. Uh, I don' t know I was all crazy for this topic when I first heard about it, but now I find I don't really have anything to say. It's just funny.

Edit: went to Gamespot, I can't believe how intolerant the reaction is. I don't think Out even claimed Link was homosexual or anything, they just called him hot. Sheesh!

I have to dispute this. In my opinion, Space World 2001 Link is actually subtly masculine because, again in my non-expert opinion, he actually starts to look Japanese in this game. And compared to a japanese ethnic standard, he looks more like a Japanese male than a Japanese female.

That said, Link seems to still have a couple Twilight Princess glamour shots though that accentuate his eyebrows, so there's definitely room for discussion.

Why does facial hair make him "XTREME"? Huh? King Hyrule has a beard yet I don't remember anyone saying how XTREME he was...

Some stubble couldn't hurt to make Link look more masculine, though I agree that TP Link is probably the most masculine he has ever looked.

Though what I would go for is a design-your-own-Link. It's not the kind of feature Nintendo likes to offer, but I think the reason Link is kind of androgynous is partially because Nintendo wants him to be able to "stand" for any player, including female players. As opposed to Solid Snake or the dude from God of War, who are both extremely masculine. Then again, I might be reading too much into it. Yeah, probably.

You know, the day this story came out I was talking with a friend of mine about the new Link look. There is a screen shot where it seems a male NPC is checking out Link's butt. When I showed it to her she felt it was hysterical; I joked that it's a good thing there isn't another major male character or there would be a lot of Legend of Zelda g ay fanfics. She assured me there already is...as if I wanted to know that.
She IMed again me about 30 minutes later with a link to this story, it read "I told you there was!"
