Square Enix created the series, however, Square Enix/Square Soft did/does not have their own consle.
So...If Square Enix did not release the series for Nintendo game consles, would Sony have the series?

It appears to me that Sony has been making PSone doubles since they began.Yeah, they might of created the PSP; but face it, who is going to win:
Gameboy
Gameboy Color
Gameboy Advance
Gameboy Special Portable
Nintendo Dual Screen
Nintendo Dual Screen Light
or
PSP
!!!It is kind of obvious that Sony is about seven years late to join the portable consle creation!!!
Anyway, the Playstation 2 and 3
A: look alike
B: play the same games
C: play the games from the other systems (i.e. PS2 plays PSone games)
D: have no different characteristics
E: only graphics have improve, games have gotten easier/shorter

The "Final Fantasy" series have been split through the middle with Nintendo and Sony...
...Square Soft (current Square Enix) created the series, and Sony is more up-to-date; however, Nintendo helped Square Soft develope, fund, and sell/suply the beginning of the series.
