I wouldn't forsee madcatz or nyko making anything.  If the channel is the driver, then it forces people to at least purchase the wii speak device first, then may a 3rd party like logitech could make a mic.. of course if you count rockband, developers could always just program in the functionality and let the users just get whatever.   but that would be easy and simple.

"No, it doesn't trust me I tried before ordering my Wii Speak."

Well, I am thinking that the wiispeak channel download provides the driver needed to run it, once that driver is loaded, try a differnt mike.   Did you try it with Wii speak channel installed or was it not installed yet?

To all who have installed the wiispeak channel.   Have you tried after installation or playing the conduit switching it out for a usb headset?

just a little curious.  To all of you experiencing problems in online mode, how many of you are using the hard drive solution or whatnot to speed up load times?  It could in theory cause sync issues.

just curious.

THanks,
Jim

In the original cartoon from the 80's splinter was the master transformed into that rat, in the original movie (live action) splinter was a pet that watched his owner.

I just finished up a meeting with my friend in the reviews industry and I asked him why all the media of the game looked floaty or muddy as far as the movements go, his only answer was that it is about the same speed as the original Smash Bros on 64...

for 69 dollars that gets me one new one and one new nunchuk.. not worth it.  I may be a developer, buy money is incredibly tight, in fact there is none.   When I get a job again sure, I can go out and buy new ones, but I shouldnt have to.. ya know?

I've had BWii since release, and the only time i did multiplayer the other player dropped out on me..   Never played it since..   here was the scenario

as far as I could tell we were vs. each other,
i bombed and shot all the ships in the harbor
he hung up

any ideas?  can anyone describe a typical scenario?

i like the play on words.  I constantly am changing batteries around.  With a full charge the problem persist.  But I just got off the phone with Nintendo, they do not repair NUNCHUKs, they only replace the if in 90 day warranty.   Otherwise, they said I need to ship off the wiimotes and nunchucks to them, they will give me half off on the repair (thats a total of 69 us dollars after 9 dollar shipping).  If the wiimotes are bad, they will fix them, if they are not and the nunchuks are, I will have to replace the chuks myself even after repair price.   Now, they want to chard 40 to repair a single remote (wtf) thats the price of a wiimote.. but they did offer me 50 percent off for being a long time nintendo person (back in the fun club days).  but still, if its the nunchuks, they wont just swap em out? -lame

Still though, before I send them off, I need to get my hands on two things  (nunchuk tester not part of my house and the wii motion plus) if the motion plus goes in and out.. that will blow considerable chunks..

sigh  8(

As the title employs, many of wiimotes and nunchuks will disconnect from each other in the middle of playing.   I am sure this is a connection issue (maybe through wear) and I have done a lot of troubleshooting.

Has anyone heard of a good fix for this, something rigged by a user as Nintendo doesnt recognize the problem.

Thanks,
James

I have a fun idea, one of the things that is great with a game is if you can create your own scenarios inside whats available.  With Wii-Speak, we could something along the lines spirit tag.   Everyone allows the one person to hunt  to run off for x amount of time to set up without the wiispeak of course, then everyone else has some type of chilling sound playing through wiispeak or whatnot, basically an audio warning for the singled out player, and so on.  this is just the beginning, and I have made a bunch of great scenarios for other games (goldeneye in particular) and I'm sure we could come up with some fun and inventive ways to play!

Hey VUDU,

Why not try the settings in the wii console to see if you are registering.

Now, here are a couple of problems that people run into that is similur to your predictament..

1) no external light sources (i.e. reflected sun really blows)
2) make sure the plug on the back where the sensor bar is plugged into is pushed all the way in.

Ways to troubleshoot
1)candles in low light situation
2)swap sensor bars
3)use buddies wiimote to see if it is your wiimote.
4)bug Nintendo 1 800 255 3700

Really, to me it sounds like the infrared signal is getting interrupted some how, check for anything new added to the house since the problem has happened, remove it and see if the problem persist.

low batteries could also...  wait... I just remembered something, clean off the front of the wii mote.   seriously..  windex it clean...

how far are you in time wise with your play style..   I wonder if the AI handles those scenarios differntly?

You know, I liked Red Steel.. Why?  Because I treated the game like a LIght gun game and I took the sword speed and sped it up.. the result?  nice quick actions.  While still restricted to the swipes, the sword actually swung when i did for the most part.. so.. for a light gun game (which it really is in my opinion) I liked it.

Now RS2, that looks really really good and with inspiration that it seems to have, i will buy this one.

Ok, now heres a fun question for those who have gone through the campaing

How long is it, and what type of player are you.   I.e.  are you the player who searches and looks at things to get a good feel, explorer type, or are you the guns blazing type and smashed your way through the game with a little stops here and there"?
