Antitrust laws would force a solution to that concern before it became a real problem.  In a digital distribution future I predict that the government will force publishers to allow other virtual stores to carry their products at different prices.

Think of how Amazon works now.  They sell codes for some titles.

There will definitely be some significant price fixing issues to work through, but Nintendo already went through that in the 80s.  The consumer would be stood up for.


And that's ignoring the fact that these companies will almost definitely lower prices over time to spur sales. That's just simple economics.

I can't wait for digital delivery to take over. Then publishers won't have to do any of this stuff to protect themselves anymore, and Gamestop will be forced to change their business model.

Yeah, dashed moves just represent moves that the evolved pokemon can "re-learn" from the heart scale tutor.  Since the heart scale tutor technically only teaches moves that a pokemon can learn on its own, they are represented this way.

It's usually done to still allow evolved Pokemon to relearn moves they would have learned pre-evolution.

Bumping this "what's a spoiler" debate with an update...

We just received our review copy of the game. The back of the package freely announces Cloud Mario, Rock Mario, Blimp Yoshi, and Dash Yoshi... but says nothing about Luigi.

Maybe they would have mentioned it if it wasn't filled with 3 translations of every piece of text.

I'm quite excited about this. It looks like another game that takes place on the Fit/Sports Resort island which is awesome.  The time frame also leads me to believe that they took the game seriously and people were given the time needed to pollish the hell out of it.

So yeah, this is probably a day 1 game for me.

Chances are if we didn't post this trailer we would have been yelled at for being "slow" with recent news.

Seriously, I was equally upset about the first power-up that was revealed.  I think I even complained in the talkback.  But the fact of the matter here is that of course we are going to post and talk about the latest trailers for a main line Mario game.  This is a Nintendo site after all.

If we don't like what's revealed in the trailer, that beef should be taken up with Nintendo and how they are marketing the game.  I agree, I would much rather have gone into this game not even knowing about freaking Yoshi.  That said, competition is fierce in the industry and if someone doesn't even play a game because nothing grabbed them in the marketing, they won't be surprised either.
