I'm not voting yet as I don't think I'll be able to make it.  But I will try and shift things around.

1227
So here are all the games... man there are a lot of them.

Vote for the game you want to play ONLY if you are sure you can play on the Thursday, March 12.  That's the day that won the voting!

Voting will end at some point Monday morning.

To be fair Dasmos, you can only see if they are playing if you load up the Mario Kart Channel.

On the 360, you get notified that someone came online, then you can see what they are playing from the pause menu of any game.

I understand that many people don't care about these features, but for those that do, hearing that (in this writer's opinion) it is basically impossible for Nintendo to add them this generation is a pretty frustrating thing, as its something a lot of people were holding out hope for.

Well star punch could be mapped to a button, but I still don't see why we need to use the stick to differentiate high and low punches.

I can't tell which people get it and which don't...

She likes being happy, but hates being sad?

I haven't played Punch Out in ages, but weren't there only 4 different punches? High Left, Low Left, High Right, and Low Right?

That means each half of the controller only has to tell the difference between high and low.  It would seem to me that this would be relatively easy to do regardless of whether it was the Nunchuk or actual Wiimote.

It would be ironic if I had to lock the locked thread comment box thread.

that statement wasn't a racial statement. Probably a poor choice of words given the topic.

Well to be fair, he had no idea what it was when he started his review.

I don't own Bomberman Blast but I want to play it for a WiFi night.  I'd probably buy it the day of if it won =P.

More people need to take this approach. :)

Oh god, it wasn't to "its" it was an 'it' and a 'this'...

So I change my mind, I did word that sentence alright... this meant the repetition of games.

Hurray for poor reading! =P

1238
Hah just realized I have two "its" in that sentence.. one refers to the thing I just said, the other to Brawl... =P

Hurray for poorly worded sentences! =P

1239
Oh, the "it" i meant was just the possibility of playing the same game over again, not the game itself.

And if I'm misunderstanding you, and you actually do plan to make that change, you are just speaking about the racism issue as a whole, then we shouldn't be arguing anymore.

Maybe I'm not explaining myself well.

You are looking for a "rule" to live by.  For some reason you only see two extreme options.

Option A: Ignore people that claim something you say is racist because it can't be if you had no racist intent.

Option B: Constantly look over your shoulder when you say/type anything to make sure you're not offending anyone.

What I am saying is, there is no reason in the world to ignore the simple request made by James C. in this blog post because you choose to live an Option A lifestyle.  Why can't you make this one instance an exception because someone else took the time to let you know it can be offensive? You didn't have to do any work here. You just have to type a single abbreviation differently.

Again... This is not a black and white world.

1242
What i don't understand is if everyone hates this so much, why does it still win the voting?

So much for getting someone who "understood" the original to review this. ;)

1244
I like the pretty colors. :)

May the rats eat your eyes!

My local best buy isn't included, but the one that is 15 minutes away is. That cracks me up.

Too bad I need to cut down on my dvd collecting. =P

But you are thinking on a "life rule" scale for something that is infinitely simpler. That's my point.  Typing Jap is no easier than typing Jpn. Heck, you could move to Jp and even save time!

Plus, your point is that it isn't racist if there is no intent. While that may be true, intent is very hard to gauge when using written word, which again, brings us back to the entire source of this thread.

Well my point of view is that taking some stance on principle that can result in the stress of another is fairly selfish, especially when such stance revolves around such a trivial amount of effort.

1248
Campaigning to get people to vote for different games seems like a good approach to me.

I really think Bomberman Blast could be a great change of pace and I think everyone should vote for it? Unless you like being boring and dull. =P

Wow, how much of your decision was logistics versus personal?

Like, is the main reason you did it because you don't want to set it all up at whereever you are living in Korea, or would it be easy to set up, you truly are just simplifying?

Sorry, I'm just curious. Simplification is something that has been going through my mind a lot lately (especially considering I just purchased a 360 so I now own all consoles) :-/

So because you were harassed to the point of being unhappy as a child and you learned to ignore it and achieved happiness as an adult, you think everyone else should get harassed until they learn to deal with it like you did?

I'm just trying to get on the same page here.  And I'd also still really like an answer to my last question for you.

I'm your standard white guy that grew up in a combination of the country and suburbs.  That said, I have extremely curly hair and for that and many other reasons I used to take a significant amount of crap as a kid.

I, like you say you did, learned to let that stuff roll off my back, and for the most part I'm extremely happy now.

That said, if I saw a doofy white kid with seriously curly hair getting harassed by a bunch of morons, I wouldn't join in to try and teach him a lesson on how to ignore that stuff.
