They have that already for the Xbox 360 (or it will be coming out I should say). It's called Rock Band and you have one person play the Guitar, another players the drums, one player sings into a mic and I forgot what the 4th was might be another guitar.

They could have just made it so once the traded pokemon becomes super happy with you and you have a heartscale that you could change its name. Alas they did not. Oh well.

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of having 4 different control set ups?

Yes, but this is Nintendo we're talking about. For every step forward they shoot themselves in the foot and take 2 steps back.

Yeah I stand by my comment, 4 people will be able to use 4 different control set ups if they so choose.

Well, the interviews with Retro Studios all say something along the lines of "there is no multiplayer so we could focus all our resources on making the single player the best it could be".

So, probably not. Metroid doesn't need multiplayer to be good anyway.

Title says it all, pretty cool =D haven't got a ddr game since the one on PS1 . . . maybe I'll pick this up when it comes out.

Nintendo will definitely show off Mario Kart at this point. It's just that 'time in the systems life for the game to be announced.

I'd love to see a real true successor to Starfox 64 be announced . . . but that's just wishful thinking.

I think this year though will definitely mainly be about the 3rd party and new IPs from Nintendo. I just have a feeling a lot of new stuff is going to be shown from Nintendo that we wouldn't expect and a lot of 3rd party games will at least make it to a demo reel.

Smash_Brother, here is one of the sites I heard the story from http://www.gamedaily.com/blog/2007/07/05/e3-pre-event-coverage-beautiful-katamari/

I agree GoldenPhoenix, great new trailer and it looks to be a lot of fun especially with the multiplayer aspect.

Well I think a lot of people (myself included) love the SSBM control style and for fighting games such as this a gesture system would be tacky at best.

Also lies about no online play =P. . . I hope.

Edit: thatguy beat me to the punch yet again! My eternal rival >.<! jk

Haha sorry Thatguy I missed your post above Shecky's. I took his "throwing has always been" remark the wrong way I guess (see: only way) so I was a bit confused.

But yeah I prefer the Z-button throw method far more than the Shoulder Button + A combo.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Z button on the Cube controller the melee throw button?

Well Bandai Namco said to expect Beautiful Katamari for 360 to "roll into stores" sometime early in 2008. But yeah, a later release may be good seeing as how the upcoming months are going to be jam packed with AA Nintendo titles.

It'd be a nice spring '08 or even summer '08 game for Wii when the software flow dwindles a bit.

2966
According to various sources Famitsu has relayed information that the PS3 version of Beautiful Katamari is indeed canceled.

The news first came about as Bandai Namco announced their E3 roster of games, showing BK as only to appear on Xbox 360.

In response to a Wii version of the game, they say it is indeed in the works. Although according to the Game Director players should not "expect that anytime soon" as they need to rework the game to work with Wii's unique control system.

"GungHo announced they are working with Nintendo for a Nintendo DS version of its hit MMORPG Ragnarok Online, the game is scheduled for a 2008 release in Japan."

Sweet! I wonder how the game will play? I know Wakfu (sequal to flash MMO game Dofus) is coming to NDS as well.

Pretty sweet =D

I think the name rater/changer is in eternia city (south eastern area in a somewhat tall building).

Sorry but while $100 less is good. . . $500 is still a lot of money for a console that really has no killer apps out for it.

I was, at first, sad to have Rare leave. Though, looking at it down the road I was glad they were gone. Their games just aren't what they used to be. They lost far too many of the original developers that made Rare well...Rare. It just isn't the same.

General Gaming / RE: Rumor: Sega Sammy says PS3 price drop likely

True that could be the case.

2974
From Reuters.com

"Maeda also said he expects an upcoming "Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games" title, co-developed by Sega and Nintendo, to sell several million units, rivalling such big name titles as Microsoft Corp.'s "Halo 3"."

General Gaming / Rumor: Sega Sammy says PS3 price drop likely
« on: July 04, 2007, 09:34:00 PM »
From The Magic Box:

"Sega Sammy's corporate director Masanao Maeda mentioned that Sony is likely to have a price drop for PS3 before the end of the year to increase demand of its flagship console."

It would make sense seeing as PS3 isn't performing as well as Sony had hoped but I wonder if they can afford it. Aren't they already losing tons of money per system sold due to the manufacturing costs?
