I laughed. This is exactly the kind of thing I'd expect from them.

I agree that, if executed well, this game could be really good. The problem is that with Rare as the developer, given their recent work, you can't assume that they'll execute it well, and you shouldn't expect that they will. Getting excited for this now is not a good idea, there's much too high a likelihood of it being bad.

I don't know what deal you guys have with him, but Jason Ricci just made something off of his music being on this podcast, over the past few days I've progressively bought all three of his albums on iTunes.

I was annoyed to find out that you are supposed to find ALL the anagrams possible, minus the words Nintendo might think are naughty.  It's not like Boggle where you find as many as you can in a time limit.  You literally have to sit there trying every combination of letters to find the last 2 or 3 anagrams.  Ugh. Not fun.

On the whole it's a decent enough title, but I think my wife will enjoy it more than I do.

A tip on the anagrams, the list on the top screen is in alphabetical order, so you can get a hint by what words the blank one is between. You still have to guess, but not quite as blindly.

The one good thing about this week is that between Wii Ware and the VC we got 4 games this week. They may not be games I care much about but we got a good number of them. The grub's not great, but the portions are terrific!

You'd think that Nintendo would want to treat Europe well considering the huge markup in prices over there, they most likely make more money per game in Europe than in America or Japan.

I'd like to try it too, did you take part in the secret santa we did at Christmas? If you did I have you added, if not my code is 5394-1287-9682-2367 and I'll enter yours.

I've used Baseball Stars 2 with component cables just fine.

I'm still considering it. I'll probably wait until the Wii Genesis emulator allows for saving games.

Yeah, this is a disappointing week for me since I have no interest in Dr. Mario. No Toki Tori, no Protothea, no Gyrostarr, nothing from Nintendo on the VC.

I was all set to do this but now I'm scared of this screwing up my Wii. If I want to play Genesis games I should probably just get a PSP, if I screw that up it won't be that big of a deal.

I agree with GP. But maybe I'm wrong.  I don't really want to see B-K as a franchise die. If I ever ever get a 360, I will play this game.

You disagree with me but then you prove my point. Unless they unexpectedly nail the game it's not going to be a hit, but the groups I mention will buy enough to probably make sure the series doesn't die.

Really, any choice but English or Japanese would still involve big delays because even if it's just one language Nintendo doesn't care enough to translate again into pig-Latin or whatever you choose at any good speed.

There's one that's in my area, but it's in the next county. Paying for gas there and back would be more expensive than buying one on eBay. They also have new ones, as do a couple stores just across the Ohio state line.

Game emulation and ROMs is off limits in these forums.

Most of the big recent Star Wars games were outsourced too, Factor 5 did the Rogue Squadron games and  BioWare did KOTOR, and I don't know who did LEGO Star Wars but it wasn't LucasArts. The Force Unleashed is the first big Star Wars game from LucasArts in a long time (maybe even since X-Wing and TIE Fighter).

The thing is, no matter how bad this game is it's going to sell. As the closest thing to a platformer on the 360 it will sell to people who only own a 360 that want a platformer, and it will sell because of the Rare name and the Banjo-Kazooie name, mostly to Nintendo fans that also own a 360

I just got the second chest after what seemed like forever, it took me a long time to get the whole burn the plant to make the seed to plant somewhere else (I had to look at a walkthrough on GameFAQs to get it). I've already put in more than 3 hours and like I said I'm only halfway through the game. For once not being very good at a game has an advantage!

16569
I'm a huge fan of space stuff, reading an article about this an hour ago has had me preoccupied with thinking of the future of space exploration ever since.

If you just wanted longer cords you should have just gotten extension cords for your existing wired Cube controllers, they're cheap and they work really well, I have them for all mine.

16571
I've wanted one of those so bad but I don't feel like paying to import one, especially since I rarely need more than one GC controller and my WaveBird does just fine for that. If only they were wireless, I would have bought 3 of them already.

So GameFAQs is owned by the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation, eh? I can't believe I didn't see that before.

Well, WWW's list is just games that are out in Europe already, seems more likely.

You could look at it that way, or you could look at as Wii Ware World playing it safe, whereas GameFAQs could be seen as either guessing randomly or picking unusual choices because they know something. I would be fine with either list, Toki Tori and Protothea are my two most anticipated Wii Ware games.

General Chat / Re: Indiana Jones 4: KOCS (lol) first trailer
« on: May 25, 2008, 02:31:34 AM »
As I said, I've never seen an Indiana Jones movie, that is until now. I just finished Raiders of the Lost Ark, and it was one of the best movies I've ever seen. So many great parts, and now I get a lot of jokes on The Simpsons and various other shows. If this new one is even half as good as that it's easily worth the price of admission.

I doubt that, the prequels being Star Wars movies didn't stop people from emptying their bladders all over them.
