As much as it would be fun to screw with the forum stats, I'd fear mod retribution if I helped someone do it for the express purpose of increasing stats.

I'm not sure I want it anymore if they're going to charge more for it. I'm sure it's worth it for that price, it looks like a great game, but Wii points are Wii points, and apart from import prices they shouldn't vary. This must be how Europeans feel all the time.

Remember if you get Heatseeker to use the contol setup that lets you use the nunchuk as a flight stick. I'd advise holding it in your right hand when you use it that way.

To be a little more on-topic, I'm not that interested in this game, but if it's a good 3D platformer I may have no choice but to check it out.

I hope the farting of Wario isn't used as a gameplay mechanic at all in this one.

If you want complexity 4 is great, and it really feels great to get your city to a point where it's growing and working and nothing is actively on fire. I love 4, but I also love 2000 because it's great to just pick up and play.

You've come closer to achieving that goal than Ubisoft has to Nintendo-like quality.

I could stop coming here for half a year and I'd still be on top of most time on when I got back, I'm currently leading by almost 3 months. I always have some tabs with the forums in them open and I have them set to automatically refresh so I'm always seeing an up-to-date set of posts when I look at it, and that has the (unintended, I was doing this before that stat was tracked) side effect of making it so that I'm always active.

If you liked the original SimCity you should play SimCity 2000. I've played all 4 of them and I think 2K hits the perfect balance between complexity and accessibility.

The thread was about Quake 4 and so I assumed that's what you wanted. If you want something besides a FPS I'd recommend Escape Velocity Nova. It will certainly run on your computer and it is very much not a FPS. It's kind of a sandbox game in that it's very open-ended and there's lots to do. You have a space ship and you fly around a pretty large galaxy doing missions. There are I believe 6 main storylines you can choose from (whatever you do, don't go in with the Vell-os), or you can be an independent trader and maybe dabble in a little piracy. The game has (or at least had) a very active mod community, and there are hundreds of plugins available and several total conversions that change almost everything about the game.

I was going to get this song with one of my free Amazon MP3s I got from drinking way too many Pepsi products but it wouldn't let me.

Comparing waggle to shoulder buttons on the SNES is a brilliant analogy, your description is dead-on and by extension makes a good argument for the future of the remote. Let's hope it stays true. I also completely agree about Strikers, the game wouldn't be near as good with big hits mapped to a button.

I'd trade my GameStop with people who are competent and cool for one that had Wavebirds in a second. Maybe I should check the three other GameStops that are within walking distance of mine, the ones that are staffed by assholes.

I don't know if this would stand up in court, but if Douglas Adams rose from the dead and showed up at my house I'd let him have as much of my water water he wanted.

According to Wikipedia the first Rayman came out September 1st 1995, so the answer to that question depends on whether you consider Donkey Kong Country a collectathon or if that starts with DKC2, which came out in November of '95.

I suppose that games that come out in Japan usually don't take that long to come here. Be wary when a good game comes out in Europe before America, though. It may never show up here.

If you want a good FPS to play single player I'd recommend Marathon. Made by Bungie, best known of course for Halo (by most, there are some that still swear by their RTS series, Myth), before they abandoned the Mac, you'll notice that there are similarities but there are differences too. The trilogy was released as freeware by Bungie but you'd probably want to check out Marathon Resurrection, a remake of the game in the Unreal Tournament engine

The Moon! As we speak Nintendo's fleet of R.O.B.'s (the real ones) is constructing an elaborate lunar habitat that Nintendo is paying for with their enormous profits. You only need 1,000 games registered with MyNintendo to get your ticket to go.

I'm not going to argue that the song list is great, because it's not, but it was revealed a while ago that this was going to include songs from Guittar Hero III. A lot of these songs look like Activision attempting to pick songs that appeal to their idea of a "DS audience". Thank God that the Wii gets the same tracklist as the other consoles, or else something like this would be what we'd get.

Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars is coming to the Japanese VC next month. Can a US release be far behind? All signs point to yes.

The **** that was Medal of Honor Heroes 2 was a PSP port. The only thing worth a damn there was the online and the controls.

The online and controls in that game were phenomenal. I agree that the campaign sucked and I never played the lightgun style mode but the online is great fun and the controls are better than the controls in Metroid. But maybe it wouldn't be the best idea to listen to me on this subject, I bought and enjoyed Alien Syndrome and Heatseeker, both PSP ports.

I'm actually in Northwest PA, so if I were picking based on geography my team would be Pittsburgh (or Buffalo). My dad's a Flyers fan, though, and I grew up cheering for them. The Penguins are my second favorite because they're the only team I can see regularly on TV because we get Fox Sports Pittsburgh on our cable, the only hockey outside of Vs. and the occasional NBC game.

So I take it Apple never did go through with making I-Tunes for Wii did they.

I can virtually guarantee you that Apple never seriously considered making it. Apple only very rarely makes software for something other than the Mac  operating system or something else made by Apple. I can think of only 3 current examples of such software, and each of them gets Apple something they desire, something I don't think Wii iTunes would. AppleTV-like software that could stream an iTunes library via Wi-Fi and play it through the Wii would be awesome, though.
