The Browns front office is really thinking outside the box. Putting some of our unused cap space to use by further stockpiling draft picks. We got a 2nd round pick from Houston to take Osweiler's bad contract, and now we're looking to get a 3rd rounder from somebody else who wants him after we eat some of his salary. Now all we need to do is use those draft picks effectively.

I have 8 Switch games. Zelda, Fast RMX, Snipperclips, Shovel Knight, Bomberman, Puyo Puyo Tetris, New Frontier Days, and Blaster Master Zero.

Why would you assume he could afford to do that when he is busy spending that money on more games he will never get around to playing.

See, somebody gets me. I already have a Switch backlog.

That's why Arms and Mario Kart weren't launch titles. Nintendo is purposely spacing things out to try and avoid too much of a lull, which was a huge problem with both Wii U and 3DS.

Jonathan Metts once ruled that exchanging Club Nintendo coins for a game didn't count as buying a game, so going by that I think borrowing from the library is in the clear.

I haven't tried to do anything with it, but the games I bought on the American eShop still show up with the "Purchased" tag under them in the European and Japanese eShop, which would seem to indicate it's possible for me to download that version as well.

EDIT: I just tried deleting a game and redownloading it, but it only shows up as an option on the shop I bought it on, so that kills that. And since it doesn't give the option to buy it in another reason, I guess I'm never playing Puyo Puyo Tetris in English even if I were willing to buy it again.

I just bought Puyo Puyo Tetris from the Japanese eShop. I got really into the demo and didn't want to wait a month and a half to get it. I had to buy Japanese eShop codes from a third party site because the eShop wouldn't take my debit card, but it was a pretty straightforward process. And based on what we've seen so far, it seems like purchases carry across regions, so I'll be able to download the English version once it comes out in America.

I think it's almost certainly a case of Nintendo printing barely any copies of the Wii U version and about as many copies of the Switch version as they produced Switch consoles.

It's going to be a long first season in MLS for Minnesota United. Tonight's performance wasn't as bad as the 5-1 scoreline makes it seem, and there's some promise in their attack, but my god is that defense going to get torn to shreds.

Oh my god, just shut up already. I don't even care that you're pessimistic about the Switch, there are valid reasons to feel that way right now, but you could do it without being a complete asshole.

The (admittedly) bad attitude comes purely from me making a rational prediction based on clear evidence and then being roundly disparaged for it just because it didn't fit in with what people here wanted to happen. The gloating comes from the fact that a number of people here (yourself included) have shifted from calls of "you're wrong, you're wrong" to "OK, you might be right but shut up". If you had a bit of backbone or basic humility to hold your hands up and say "Hey, it looks like you might be right", I wouldn't feel the need to come here and point out the fact.

I don't think anyone was definitively saying you were wrong, just that it was (and still is) way too early to be talking about this as if anything was definitive. You were acting like it was completely dead and done before it even came out, which is as obnoxious as it is premature.

While most of the people here were waiting in line for their Switch, I was watching the CONCACAF Champions League. The semifinals are now set, with both matches being MLS vs. Liga MX. FC Dallas vs. Pachuca should be a hell of a series, and the Vancouver Whitecaps will face a tough test taking on Tigres. Watching Vancouver's performance tonight made me a lot more confident in their ability to not get humiliated in that matchup, though, as Fredy Montero and Brek Shea both look like really good additions to an attack that was very weak last year.

The real story, though, is Alphonso Davies. This 16 year old plays with the confidence and composure of someone twice his age, and he's the crown jewel of a very promising crop of young Canadian talent. Canada would have made the Hex this year with a better coach, and whoever gets that job is going to have a lot to work with going forward. Don't be shocked if Canada makes the trip to Qatar in 2022.

That's what you get for not buying a Switch. If you got one of those you'd be able to play Zelda in a few hours.

Not to gloat too much, but I've known that thread was awful since 2016.

I've said before, it seems weird that they're releasing the thing this early in the month. It really feels like an extra two or three weeks to work on it could have been very beneficial.

That's disappointing to hear. I'm still likely going to buy this tomorrow for the multiplayer, even though I should probably wait for a price drop, but I was hopeful for more from the single player.

Laura Kate Dale seems to be reporting via twitter that the day 1 patch fixes the left joycon issue.

It's really weird, she and some other people are saying the update fixed it, but then another group of people are saying it didn't. I'm not sure what's going on there.

I didn't realize it was my turn. Having the thread stickied makes it easy to miss when there are new posts. I guess I'll go with the only one of the three I've played, Mario Kart 8.

I just went through that image ShyGuy posted and counted over 20 games that I'm going to buy, and that number will only go up as I learn more about some of the other ones.

TalkBack / Re: First Switch Game To Play Only Out Of Dock Revealed As
« on: February 27, 2017, 11:19:13 AM »
Secondly, there's a lot less reason to want to make something that only works docked than only works in handheld mode.

I just gave a reason in my first reply. Other reasons could be online only games and ports of games that can only run stable on docked mode.

Is there any indication that there's a substantial difference in possible power with the dock beyond what's necessary to output at a higher resolution? Online-only's not a problem, as you yourself have lamented the system doesn't include a wired networking option, it's wi-fi only.
