TalkBack / The World Ends With You Sequel Discussed by Tetsuya Nomura
« on: April 24, 2012, 07:38:50 AM »

We might at some point venture back into the world of TWEWY.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/29946

A sequel to the popular The World Ends With You was hinted at by Tetsuya Nomura, the game's creative producer.

One of Nomura's recent projects, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, was recently released in Japan. The game featured characters from The World Ends With You. When implementing the characters from The World Ends With You into Kingdom Hearts, they made a change. A voice actress for the character Rhyme was found for Kingdom Hearts 3D "out of consideration of the future of The World Ends With You series."

Nomura went on to say "Regarding The World Ends With You, I can't say anything at present... (laughs). But there probably is something."

These two things do not one hundred percent confirm that development on a sequel is underway, but does hint strongly at the possibility of it being so. Check out our review of the original The World Ends With You here.

TalkBack / Zen Studios Discuss Their Pinball Games on 3DS and Wii U
« on: April 24, 2012, 01:00:29 AM »

DLC is still coming, along with another game.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/29947

Zen Pinball 3D DLC is still on its way to the Nintendo 3DS, according to Neil Sorens in an interview with Revogamers.

In Janurary, Zen Studios claimed that DLC was expected to arrive within two-to-three months. However, now that we are nearing the end of April and still haven't received DLC, Sorens has said "We’re just waiting for the right time to add the support for add-on content for Zen Pinball. It will be definitely available this year."

The DLC may be arriving a bit later than initially expected, but Zen Studios also plans on releasing a new pinball game. Marvel Pinball will release for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Marvel Pinball was confirmed to be appearing on the Wii U last summer. Marvel Pinball is also expected to support DLC.

When asked about Pinball games on Wii U, Sorens said "Well, the new Wii U controller is… very good for pinball, actually. I can’t talk you much more than that right now but yeah, I agree that it would be pretty cool for pinball *laughs*."

Neither the DLC or Marvel Pinball have release dates. Read a review of Zen Pinball 3D  here.

TalkBack / Mutant Mudds Rated for Australian Release
« on: April 18, 2012, 06:44:00 PM »

The eShop game could soon see release outside the U.S.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/29872

A recent Australian OFLC classification suggests that Mutant Mudds might soon be releasing in Australia.

Mutant Mudds released in North America during January and was met with positive reviews. Despite its success in America, the game has yet to see release in other territories. Developer Renegade Kid has already said it has plans to bring the game elsewhere, and now there is some sign that it's actually happening.

The OFLC classification rates the game as "General" (G), the equivalent of the North American "Everyone" (E). The rating was filed on April 13.

Although this provides no information as to exactly when the game will hit the eShop, it does lead us to believe the release is approaching.

TalkBack / Next Professor Layton Game Hinted At By Level 5 CEO
« on: April 18, 2012, 06:29:56 PM »

Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney isn't the only thing Level 5 seems to be working on.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/29869

The next game in the Professor Layton series is currently being worked on, according to Level 5 CEO Akihiro Hino.

Level 5 is currently working on the crossover title Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, but it seems they are also cooking up the next game in the Layton series.

"The general framework for the next Layton title has been outlined," Hino said. He also added that there would be a bit of time before they could announce anything officially.

Hino did give away one little spoiler about the game: it will have a long title in Japanese.

It can be assumed that whatever this game is, it will eventually make its way to both North America and Europe. However, seeing how the previous entry in the Layton series, Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle, has yet to see release outside of Japan, it can be assumed anyone not in Japan will have to wait quite a while for this next game.

The next iteration of Pikmin was already known to be coming to Wii U, but when it would be showing up was always a little up in the air. With an appearance at E3 2012 and its many years of development it is likely that the games launch will come around the launch of the Wii U.
